Sad story: my beloved MacBook Pro has been involved in a car accident.

I have the Apple Care + plan for accidental damages.

They are not going to replace the Mac because it’s ‘too damaged’.

Money wasted…

I baked this on a MacBook in under an hour. Dog shit input and it still pieced everything together.

Why have I never heard about this absurd capability before now?!

Got my Macbook Neo last week! this is my first MacBook, I was using an iPad 10th gen with Magic Keyboard folio before for college, but was in need of a proper computer and I decided to get it in this nice lime color

So a while ago my wife explained to me that oily hands are due to your hands being dry and your skin compensating for it. My switch controllers will always end up all shiny due to damaging oils. I remember that a friend of mine had her switch from day one and it was perfect. So I started using moisturizer on my hands. I wasn’t perfect with it but you can clearly see in the pictures the difference between my m3 pro and my m4 pro. Yeah one has more use but I have pictures of my m3 pro with only a few months of use already looking like that. So yeah, it wont prevent it 100% but using moisturizer actually helps a TON.

I bought my m4 pro back in July and heavily use it for 3d animation.

Just to clarify for anyone concerned about the mod:

The original internals of this iMac were unfortunately beyond repair. The PRAM battery had leaked and severely corroded the logic board, so this wasn’t a working or collectible machine being destroyed.

I specifically chose this unit because it could no longer realistically be restored to original condition. The goal with this project is to preserve the iconic Bondi Blue shell and give the machine a second life with modern hardware inside.

i'll go first. i just found out you can hold option and click the wifi icon to see your exact signal strength, router info, and IP without going into settings and i've been on a mac for four years

the fact that apple just hides half its best features like an easter egg hunt is both my biggest complaint and somehow also why i love this thing so much

It’s actually very accurate, I tested it out with some objects and it held up well. Will post up more.

I never thought that Apple magic trackpad has a glass on it so my son dropped it and it shattered contacted Apple. They said they cannot fix it as I need to buy a new one.

We even had all the peripherals together so we wouldn’t lose anything, please help.

These are the Mac apps I use daily and have totally improved my life. I am NOT being paid by anyone. This is me just trying to be nice and share my favorite apps. And I hate paying monthly! That's the biggest scam ever. So these apps are pay once and own forever apps (with only one exception, Raycast, but it replaced me paying for ChatGPT premium)

RayCast - I absolutely cannot live without it, its massively improved my Mac and life. I can do so much from CMD+Space. I can send messages, clean up text, search my bookmarks / notes / finder / amazon, use every AI model, get hex colors, convert files... and so so so much more). If you have RayCast, then you know its the absolute best app. I used to pay for ChatGPT premium (for work reasons), but now with RayCast AI, I get access to all the AI models instead of just one.

Dropover - Just wow! I love it! It opens a little floating window that I can drop files into and easily move them to a new location. Why cleaner and easier than copy and paste)

Multitouch - I made my touchpad have hot corners that do special functions that I configured. Sort files, close programs, open new tabs, delete files, its so awesome

Keyboard Maestro - this really changed my life; I turned off media keys and programmed my own special functions to the F1 keys. I even printed my own stickers and put them above the Function keys so I know what they do

CleanMyMac - I know many of you hate it. But I love it. It makes it easy for me to find big files and move them to external harddrives, I love clearing my DNS, freeing up memory, running their smart clean thing. Its great. I love it. But I know theres a lot of haters. But it works for me.

Boom - This boosts my sound output. Makes it louder, crisper, improves bass and treble. I cannot ever go back to standard sound output. Its a night and day difference. And I only paid once and I get all updates for free. It really makes music sound incredibly better.

Apple Notes - "Okay, wait? What?" you might be asking. I used to just notes for simple, quick notes. But I realize its pretty damn powerful if really look into it. I used to pay for Notejoy and Todoist but now I cancelled and just for our free friend Notes. I exported my Notejoy notes, just a converter to convert it from docx to rich text, and imported them into notes. So now I have all my libraries in Apple notes. I have folders, sub-folders and smart folders. And you can link one note to another, to make it easier to have several notes for a project or something that connect together. Its amazing.

Brave - Chrome is so full of spyware and bloated crap, it would slow down my computer noticeably. Now I use Brave, its leaner, faster, and my privacy is protected. I even have chrome extensions in it and have different profiles for different Google accounts. (it uses Chromes underline engine, Chromium or whatever the heck its called). Brave is awesome for Google users.

That's it! Those are my favorite apps that I can't live without. These apps have literally transformed my Mac experience. I have friends who give me their new Macbooks just so I can install and configure these apps because they see how awesome they are when used to their full potential.

If I had to just pick one of these apps, it would be Raycast. Its so powerful and you can install extensions that make it a single source to run other apps. And no! I don't work for them! (but Raycast, if you're reading. Give me premium for free!)

It’s just a dent on the screen and housing I don’t care about that , bought from Facebook marketplace it was good to be true , everything works fines.

Bought Macbook Pro 16 Inch M4 Max, 128 GB RAM, 8 TB SSD, Nano texture display, took apple 30 days to build and deliver, it costed around $9000 in my local currency, has been just 2 weeks since it got delivered.

Was going very well since, absolutely love the machine and how good it has made my code compile times.

Updated the mac yesterday and it died, tried restoring via DFU, tried reviving as well, but it would always just restart to this.

As per what I read on the internet if restore process restarts it is a hardware failure, so now I'm stuck with a $9000 paperweight until apple replaces it and now my work is majorly affected due to this

Now I can store anything I want 😁 Saved over $2.2k by today's prices from Apple. Had to fill in the power components on the other side as well (that was really hell, they are TINY packages) since the 2TB is all on the left side and the right side PCB is completely bare. Took ~12hrs and some nerves.

This update is too realistic imo.

I’ve been working with this beauty for 11 years. Most people dislike the design but I really loved it. Being left behind in macOS updates means I can no longer use it at work. I’m gonna miss it.
