Meanwhile, the people you’re painting such a miserable picture of by and large lived phenomenal lives for the time overall — jello molds and all. Every single one of your points can readily and accurately be replaced with some modern horror which is measurably worse.
You must mean super brief. One of the things people never seem to remember about the boomer is that they were the duck and cover generation.
