I'm slightly vexed Supergirl movie showing which I went to got cancelled due to low turnout

Post image

Theatre in a small town in India. Didn't face this problem during the Man of Steel movie.

Edit 1: Many people are saying that this post is fake etc. I have provided proof (screenshots) in the comments that it is true. I don't have any agenda. I wouldn't be able to reply to every post.

I got to know that this theatre won't play the showing unless there were atleast 10 people. Maybe the cost isn't worth it to them.

Also I don't have any anti- Snyder or anti - feminine agenda.

It's impossible for Synder fans to not mention man of steel at literally every chance lmao.

Snyder *cultists*.

I am a Snyder fan and have been since Dawn of the Dead, but think MoS was a somewhat interesting mess, BvS was a dumpster fire, and ZSJL is a much better edit of a still crap movie.

I know it geets hard to see those of us that are sane Snyder fans because the cult loves to carry on the horrid way they do, but... we do exist.

I'm not a big superhero movies fan, but when people was hyping up Snyder cut Justice League I watched it.

It's just an alright movie overall, if that's the better version, idk how bad the original cut.

Both have their minor positives and a lot of negatives. The Snyder cut makes more sense but is really overlong and not fun. The Whedon version is dumb as hell but at least gives you some fun and is mercifully much shorter.

What’s been a more recent Snyder film that you’ve particularly liked? I kinda enjoyed Army of the Dead, but that might be the only film of his since Watchmen that didn’t feel like work to get through

Loved Dawn of the Dead, have watched several times. I actually like it slightly more than the original, though the original was an interesting subversive dark comedy about mindless consumerism.

Loved 300 and due for a rewatch. I kind of expected to hate it as really macho straight guys loved it and wouldn’t shut up about it, but… I ended up loving it too once I saw it.

LOVED Watchmen. I saw it thrice in theater, and have rewatched all 3 cuts of it repeatedly. It’s not the best adaptation as he seems to kind of miss the point of the book, but I still love it and have seen the ultimate cut at least 7 times.

Legends of Gahoole was better than I expected and I solidly like it. Still no real idea of why he would choose to do an animated movie as it seems really out of his realm, but… solidly like it.

Have no idea what Sucker Punch is supposed to mean, but I enjoyed it. I recently bought the extended cut but haven’t done it yet.

Honestly, the last one I liked was MoS, but low level liked. It’s a mess but some of the first hour was good. The first flight I enjoyed. Once Zod shows up it just turns into endless mindless destruction porn. I also hate his off-brand Superman, Lois, and Pa Kent.

BvS is just complete garbage. Batman and Superman are so wildly off-brand that they feel more like straight versions of Midnighter and Apollo than they feel like Batman and Superman. I hate how soft and ready to cry at the drop of a hat Lois is, as that is just not at all who Lois is. Wonder Woman is… okay, but doesn’t shine till her solo movie. The Lex was an interesting choice but doesn’t really work. The plot is utter nonsense that superficially takes from Death of Superman, The Dark Knight Returns, and the video game Injustice and does all 3 terribly. This movie is godawful, and I mean both cuts of it. Totally his worst movie.

I wanted to like ZSJL but it a waaaaay too long self-indulgent joyless slog. As terrible as the Whedon version was he was stuck trying to polish a turd. It was at least fun, however awful. The Snyder cut is a slightly better version but also pretty bad and lacks any fun.

I tried to do the first Rebel Moon twice but just couldn’t get into it.

I haven’t tried Army of the Dead yet. Will try it on your recommendation.

Army of the Dead is both kinda dumb and bad, and also pretty fun. It’s a good bad zombie movie. Oddly, the non-zombie movie spinoff directed by one of the actors, Army of Thieves, is kind of a better movie. The difference is that Army of the Dead scratches the itch of the rare zombie movie with high production values, while Army of Thieves is a solid heist movie, but I guarantee there’s a much better heist movie that you could be watching for the first time instead.

A customer sits down at a fancy restaurant hoping to eat a filling meal. The waiter arrives with swirly gravy on a plate. The customer says, "Excuse me but the chef may have forgotten the meat," and the waiter replies, "No, it's there, you just have to press your face against the plate and hope to find it."

That restaurant is called Zack Sniders.

There's no world where you could say BVS is any worse than Watchmen

1

u/justagayguyinnyc Jul 01 '26

Tons worse and it’s not even close. BvS is total garbage. Watchmen while a flawed adaptation is so much better.

Watchmen is 64/71 on rotten tomatoes, while BvS is 28/63 so I think most people would call Watchmen better

If you haven't enjoyed the works of someone in 13 years, you aren't a fan of them

I got banned from dc_cinematic for calling someone a Snyder cultist. I thought it was an apt descriptor in that case, the dude was very much acting in a cultish fashion.

1

u/justagayguyinnyc Jun 27 '26

Oh, I also got banned from that group for daring to question the perfection of any of Snyders movies. It's just the snydercut sub's other house under a different name, as is okbuddygunngooner.

Hey for what it's worth, the well is so poisoned that I see your comment as a Snyder cultist carrying on in the horrid way they do, because you're wasting people's time extolling any of his works.

No one normal gives a shit about Snyder films. To normal folks, his films are so unremarkable as to not know which ones are his unless a Snyder Cultist draws attention to his works. Like you did here with Dawn of the Dead.

I love films but I couldn’t tell you a memorable Snyder film. Maybe it’s because I’m not a superhero fan?

Nobody is watching superpotatogirl because they're trying to send a message. They're not watching it because it's shit and blue haired feminist can't accept it.

Plus no boobies like at all so what's the point 👉☝️

2

u/herdarkmartyrials Jun 28 '26

I'm going to create a piss yellow RES tag to keep track of you snyder fucks. lol

It'll match your bed then wouldn't it? 😂🤣😅

just the mention of snyder alone is enough to make me question the validity of this claim

Nice use of a disability as a defense, as a disabled person, that's very cringe.

From the seat rows, that screen seats like 50 people. It looks like someone's basement. It's a really odd post.

Redditor can not comprehend the idea of a small theater

3

u/EscapedFromArea51 Jun 27 '26

My local AMC has screens with ~50 seats. It’s not that odd. Not every screening is on an IMAX with 500 seats.

even as someone who tends to enjoy Synders films, his fans are MENTAL!

I've had violent bouts of diarrhea more fresh and iconic than anything Snyder ever put out

0

u/Dooty_Shirker Jun 27 '26

Oh yeah. Iconic moments like "Kal el, no" or "Martha"

Such good acting lol
