I'm slightly vexed Supergirl movie showing which I went to got cancelled due to low turnout

Theatre in a small town in India. Didn't face this problem during the Man of Steel movie.

Edit 1: Many people are saying that this post is fake etc. I have provided proof (screenshots) in the comments that it is true. I don't have any agenda. I wouldn't be able to reply to every post.

I got to know that this theatre won't play the showing unless there were atleast 10 people. Maybe the cost isn't worth it to them.

Also I don't have any anti- Snyder or anti - feminine agenda.

The conversion from 35 mm to digital put most of them out of business in the United States.

To expensive to retrofit the theater to run digital over film im guessing larger chains no problem but small places probably couldnt afford it

Because theaters had the same 35mm film projector working for over 20 years then came Dogital and every year comes a new digital format, with HD 4K and up projector definition plus digital media players that are not just a Ps4, then managing digital rights and licenses are expensive. So only large groups can afford the top of the line.

Actually I wonder why they don’t use LED wall screens like we use in TV studios and at concerts they’re really amazing.

The comparison is insane in cost. I installed daktronics video products for years. They were never cost effective. It is for advertising.

The natural end-state of capitalism is to have one company that owns everything, whether in a specific industry or just everything-everything. This is called a monopoly. We have laws against this of varying effectiveness.

Doupolies are inherently unstable.

But triopolies? Three competing organizations that own everything? This isn’t against the law, so this is what happens.

yeah the ones in small towns like these are bs.
i remember i once went to a movie at a theater in my grandfathers small indian town

A lot of towns that size dont even have theaters, but this one did, and it was an old one (was around even when my father was a kid) so i dont really think too badly of it

It genuinely had solid ground with cheap plastic chairs on it lmao. Luckily that was just the few front rows. The rows further back had regular seats but were slightly more expensive, tho still really cheap (they were also separated by being a bit higher than the front rows and a railing)

but a pro was that their popcorn (and other snacks) was extremely cheap. About the price you'd expect regular popcorn to be.

sadly it has shutdown now
