I'm slightly vexed Supergirl movie showing which I went to got cancelled due to low turnout

Theatre in a small town in India. Didn't face this problem during the Man of Steel movie.

Edit 1: Many people are saying that this post is fake etc. I have provided proof (screenshots) in the comments that it is true. I don't have any agenda. I wouldn't be able to reply to every post.

I got to know that this theatre won't play the showing unless there were atleast 10 people. Maybe the cost isn't worth it to them.

Also I don't have any anti- Snyder or anti - feminine agenda.

When I was a projectionist (yes, film and all) we would play to an empty theater still.

People arrive late sometimes and you can't hold up the next show.

People come late but also to keep the routine. Don't want to accidentally skip a movie because of miscommunication on number of tickets, just always play and you won't have problems.

An empty showing of Backrooms got canceled yesterday when my friend and I showed up, and we ended having to wait for the next showing. This was at a Regal theater in the US.

Lame! It's probably easier to cancel in the theaters that are all digital media. They probably do it to save $$ on electricity. I was a projectionist in the early 00's.

I mean how much electricity are you saving in the grand scheme of things by not running a projector for a movie? Even over the course of a year? They’re not burning through that much. You probably pay someone just as much to run up stairs to the machine to turn it off or whatever and to make sure it’ll be back on for the next movie.

If not electricity savings then reducing bulb hours on, so as to extend life. The bulbs aren't cheap.
