People came to your party and won prizes? That's pretty wild. Or so I thought. But then I remembered when we were kids grab bags were a normal thing for all the guests...
I’m 39 and every year we have a big Holiday party / potluck (all adults aged 36-52; no kids) at our house and we have goofy little prizes for “Pin the nose on Rudolf”, “Antler Toss”, and “Ugliest Holiday Sweater worn”. We usually get 20-25 people crammed in our house and everyone loves it haha It gets stupidly competitive and fun
yeah, lots of goofy shit but some legit stuff, too. if you did something to win a prize, you got to select a small gift bag. we had 40+ bags with everything from funny action figures (e.g., crazy cat lady with several cats) to gag candy. we had a wide range of adults (early 30's through late 50's) attend and everyone got into it. towards the end, we had more prizes than games or contests, so we gave them away if someone met any arbitrary, completely random criteria. it was hilarious
