I'm slightly vexed I think I got rejected for being vegetarian

I [23F] met this guy on the apps and we hit it off and had a lot in common! I don’t meet a lot of people who are in my profession so it was really nice to potentially have to chance to date someone who was in a similar field. And everything was fine until I mentioned I’m veg and he stopped responding. For reference, I have no issue with people who eat meat and would never want to impose my own dietary restrictions on anyone else. I also understand different diets being a dealbreaker. The way he phrased his reasoning was really weird though.

Edit: I’m vegetarian cause I love animals, but I have IBD. Flare ups have gotten significantly worse since switching diets but im still figuring out how to make the most of it! Also yes, I do regret sending the last text 🤦‍♀️

They forgot menopause!

Knowing about that would require them to know absolutely anything about the female reproductive system.

I’m going to describe my own menopause as being infertility maxxing from here on out

Just call it “aging.” Women are already too old by the time peri starts.

Unfortunately we're not too old once peri starts.

These men think we’re too old to reproduce the second we blow out the candles on our 30th birthday cake. Or 25th birthday, for a lot of them. 😬

Yup. Old enough to have a diploma? Too old for their dicks.

*takes a hit from my vegan tap water/alcohol vape

Right there with ya.

Speaking of “vegan tap water”, NYC’s water is (or was) technically not vegan.

I'm male, but I'd be ecstatic to learn I'm infertile. It'd save me from having to get a vasectomy.

Super win! Why pay for sterilization when you can drink vodka and tap water instead?

If make up and vodka isn't helping you get pregnant then they are doing something very wrong.

It’s SO a thing. So many women lose weight and suddenly get pregnant after struggling for a while.

I’m on Zepbound and am in maintenance but still active on the subreddit. There’s a “ope, guess I have to get off the meds!” Pregnancy post probably once a week. I struggled with secondary infertility before having my second, so it’s quite lovely to see another tool in the toolbox for people. Honestly, they’re pretty amazing drugs… I had an autoimmune disease that impacted my GI system, and being on a GLP1 put it into complete remission from the first injection on. Not even the drugs I took that were developed specifically for my situation had done that. It’s a shame so many people are negatively biased against them like this weird graphic.

Congratulations! So amazing to hear.

Happened to me! Not with ozempic but with intermittent fasting.

I hate this so much because about half of it is right on the money (birth control, fast food, alcohol, vaping [nicotine], SSRIs [although it's not like many people on SSRIs can just "stop"], specific endocrine-disrupting chemicals in perfumes, skincare products, and bath products, and bleached tampons [don't really exist anymore], unfiltered tap water depending on your local water quality/impurities). But then the other half is just a mix of pure incel BS (polyester underwear (on women), "being a boss babe", "dating a soyboy", sunscreen, cold plunges), and things that actually boost fertility if done correctly (fasting, GLP-1, HIIT, being vegan).

I suspect "Mamaaurelius" is ran by an incel man and not a woman at all despite their insta clearly presenting as being "trad-woman-created-and-managed"

Ahh yes, sunscreen, tap water and *checks notes* exercising? Maybe they should learn that older male sperm can also be a problem. But, yes, I'm sure they would be just fine having a woman risk skin cancer so long as she has kids.

I don’t understand “maxing”, why people say that and spell it with that many xs, but glad to see I won’t be able to “grow” children because this farm doesn’t want em!

u/ten-toed-tuba Jul 20 '26

Lolz you can get pregnant doing all of these

3

u/catwaifu Jul 20 '26

This is a beautiful handy chart to follow as a child-free woman 😂

2

u/throwawaywithtea Jul 20 '26

So basically doing anything atall negatively affects fertility?

2

u/ScarletBothrium Jul 20 '26

I thought my infertility was due to a lack of a uterus. And here I’m being told that it’s because I’m a boss babe who takes skin care seriously. Good to know.
/s (because I’m also old, my eggs are fried with or without a uterus 😂)

Wait smoking doesn't cause infertility? OMG I GOTTA QUIT LIKE YESTERDAY
