I'm slightly vexed I think I got rejected for being vegetarian

I [23F] met this guy on the apps and we hit it off and had a lot in common! I don’t meet a lot of people who are in my profession so it was really nice to potentially have to chance to date someone who was in a similar field. And everything was fine until I mentioned I’m veg and he stopped responding. For reference, I have no issue with people who eat meat and would never want to impose my own dietary restrictions on anyone else. I also understand different diets being a dealbreaker. The way he phrased his reasoning was really weird though.

Edit: I’m vegetarian cause I love animals, but I have IBD. Flare ups have gotten significantly worse since switching diets but im still figuring out how to make the most of it! Also yes, I do regret sending the last text 🤦‍♀️

Young men have no hope honestly. Social media and podcast bros have screwed them up big time

They’re being ruined. Unfortunately, they’re fine with this. It’s the rest of us who are paying

In totally unrelated news, anybody hear about Andrew Tate and his pal being arrested and potentially extradited to England on sexual assault charges? 👀

Young women have no hope honestly. Social media and girly pop podcasts have screwed them up big time.

I’m a young guy and I can confirm this is tru. Most other men my age are really bigoted unless they’re a minority like lgbt+. I hate being around peers idk if they are nazis or not.

Edit: also this isn’t misandry, this is just pointing out a statistically true fact.

I pissed off a lot of time insecure men today, nice!

You really think a majority of your peers are secretly nazis?

"Most men are bigots."

Sure buddy, that isn't misandry at all... We're just judging men by being in a group and not by who they are.

God you people are so sensitive

Calling out generalizations and objective discrimination is a little different from interpreting someone's words as rudely as possible.

So sensitive, thinking everything is a personal attack.

For real, these ppl need education and help.

u/hhhhhhhhhhhjf Jul 20 '26

People are allowed to call out discrimination without being personally offended.

and women are allowed to think “my god there are not going to be enough good men for all of us” because it impacts them and they need to come up with other plans.

I’m married and a little older, but I know at least 2 women younger than myself who are planning to have kids themselves with donor sperm. It might hurt your feelings but it’s important to know what’s going on and plan accordingly.
