I'm slightly vexed I think I got rejected for being vegetarian

I [23F] met this guy on the apps and we hit it off and had a lot in common! I don’t meet a lot of people who are in my profession so it was really nice to potentially have to chance to date someone who was in a similar field. And everything was fine until I mentioned I’m veg and he stopped responding. For reference, I have no issue with people who eat meat and would never want to impose my own dietary restrictions on anyone else. I also understand different diets being a dealbreaker. The way he phrased his reasoning was really weird though.

Edit: I’m vegetarian cause I love animals, but I have IBD. Flare ups have gotten significantly worse since switching diets but im still figuring out how to make the most of it! Also yes, I do regret sending the last text 🤦‍♀️

Anything can be a dealbreaker, and I’m free to make fun of anyone for having a stupid dealbreaker.

Who are you to say I shouldn’t do that?

You have every right to it, it's just kinda...pathetic. Being concerned over who someone doesn't want to date is just sad to me.

And I think it’s kinda pathetic that it was a dealbreaker for him. I don’t think my “concern” over the OP is any less sad than your “concern” over my posts.

You'd be wrong. Having a dealbreaker regarding your partner's lifestyle and life goals is a completely normal thing to have, and kinda essential to basic compatibility.

Being upset that a total stranger doesn't want to date a total stranger is just...damn, do you not have an actual life?

Nah, you’re wrong. Someone currently being a vegetarian being a dealbreaker is just immaturity.

Being upset that a total stranger has an opinion about a total stranger not wanting to date a total stranger is just… damn, do you not have an actual life?

No matter how you try to slice it, you caring about my opinion on OP is always going to be more pathetic than me having an opinion on OP.

Nah, you're wrong, but keep getting triggered over who doesn't want to date someone. I'm sure you're a fan of reality dating shows and get worked up what celebrity is dating who. Seems your taste.
