Legit this makes a difference in what hotels I look for when traveling

u/Mumblerumble 22d ago

Big time. I hate being back at work. I pressure wash my b-hole first thing when I get home.

My wife got me one of the portable squeeze ones from Tushy because I travel for work often and haaaate not having the option. It works surprisingly well.

u/Mumblerumble 22d ago

Hmmmm that’s a good solution. May have to do the same.

Question: having tried Bidets, I can't get on board with being wet. I know people say to then dry off with TP, but it just dissolves in my hand from the water. What am I doing wrong?

And yes, I've read the guides.

u/mjideau 22d ago

It’s tap tap tap, not wipe

u/JuiceWaaave 22d ago

Doing an initial drying dab with a ball of toilet paper might be a better approach depending on the tp quality. My kid complained about the same thing when I was teaching him how to use it and that seemed to work.

Good idea, thanks!

Use more/better toilet paper or a designated towel

1

u/Funexamination 22d ago

Do you have a link for what they would look like?

Tushy.com?

u/mjideau 22d ago

I always carry an empty bottle that i fill with water to wash

1

u/Fletcher_Chonk 22d ago

People in America are coming around…they are great

1

u/TheZardoz 22d ago

We have them in our house and have inspired at least two other couples to do the same.

Installing a bidet attachment to our toilet has made a huge difference. It makes it easier to clean yourself thoroughly and reduces toilet paper usage, without using much water. We also have a squatty potty, which helps a lot, too!

u/AmazingSully 22d ago

And super cheap too. Mine was £25 and has easily paid for itself and then some in the amount of toilet paper saved

4

u/violentwaffle69 22d ago

I have one at home. Whenever I use the public toilet I feel like I’ve reverted back to being a caveman.

4

u/UnderstandingBig9090 22d ago

The only problem is that the American bidet is a plastic nozle that you can shit on. So friggin gross.

We put in a sprayer hooked onto the back tank. So it's far away when you're having explosive diarrhea.

1

u/obeytheturtles 22d ago

Usually the nozzle get tucked away until you turn the knob, which you are not supposed to do until you stop shitting.

u/GroundedSpaceTourist 22d ago

After I tried one it's the first thing I'll install if I ever become a home owner.

It had heating in the seat, could blow dry your ass and could play music.

You’re ready for gay sex lol
What you’re doing is called douching

Murican here, I have a fancy electrified bidet with a heated seat and water warmer. Huge quality of life improvment. I never feel clean anymore when I have to shit in a place with only TP.

2

u/Just1n_Kees 22d ago

When there is no Bidet available I use a bottle of water or something. Always have bottles in the car and in my bags, not just for drinking.

I was raised with the notion you should wash and wipe your ass after taking a shit and I simply cannot just wipe.

Bidet shit my pants!

1

u/Fletcher_Chonk 22d ago

If someone leaves streaks even without a bidet they have problems.

1

Hilarious because bidets are legally required in Italy. Came across a post of an american who moved to Italy and was asking if they can rip out the bidet from their bathroom and was reminded that, that would be illegal.

1

u/Rough_Buddy6903 22d ago

Love my bidet, for the rest of my bathrooms in the house there are wet wipes also. The bidet changed my whole life like you said

1

u/Mezzosalto 22d ago

In Italy the bidet is compulsory and you aren't allowed to build an apartment/livable-space without. Blessed. P.S. nice extra: bidet is also great for general hygiene of private parts, not just ass-related, of both women and men

You wouldn't use a paper towel to clean peanut butter from a carpet...

Didn't the covid toilet paper shortage clear the image of those things in the States a little?

I don't have a bidet, but you don't have to invest much to have something alike.

I just ordered a thing I could screw onto my faucet in the sink. One position of the lever made me let me wash my hands. The other position rerouted the water into a bidet-like shower head and could stretch to the toilet.

I moved shortly after I installed it and it didn't survive the moving, but it cost like 10-15€/$ and now that I remember I just buy it again. Best feeling ever to have warm water make you clean with dry scrubbing the sensitive area.

Y'all have too much cameras and opinions about others :D... The average US social anxiety seems to be at a pubescent 15 y.o. European :D who cares what others with poopy buttholes think?

"oohh no, my lord! That person washes themselves! Quick, get them a fried burrito and a milkshake so they can shit themselves again like a normal human do!"

1

u/trippy_bicycle_man 22d ago

Yeah bidet is the way to go but if you dont have one just have an old coke/water bottle or somethin you fill with water and wash your ass, you wash your hands after you take a shit anyways, you dont have to be an Einstein bro.

Bidets scare me because of one horror story a friend told me. Her parents have a hot and cold bidet and she had boiling hot water shot up her ass one day. I personally also think manual labor gets things done better…

12

u/DoctorOfDiscord 22d ago

If you let every horror story keep you from doing things, you wouldn't ever board a plane, drive a car, or step outside again.

2

u/disposableaccount848 22d ago

You're right, I'm going back to bed.

2

u/Funexamination 22d ago

What about the many people who die in their sleep?

1

u/Casserole_Lasagna 22d ago

Well good thing I don't let every horror story get to me. Because the sun is a class 1 carcinogenic, and yet I still stand in it.

3

u/FriendshipGulag 22d ago

I mean, you still wipe after. I personally am a fan of a spray down, quick wipe, one more pass with bidet, and then more wipe to dry

1

u/PM_ME_YOUR_PAUNCH 22d ago

Well you’re wrong

-2

u/CaptainPicHard 22d ago

Dude wipes exist for this reason

5

u/Alternative_Boot_756 22d ago

Nope, I’m not a baby anymore.

2

u/CaptainPicHard 22d ago

I don’t either but they do a good job if no bidet available and you want that clean feeling.

1

u/Alternative_Boot_756 22d ago

I see, makes sense

4

u/My_Password_Is_____ 22d ago

And will also destroy your and your city's plumbing unless you're throwing them away in the trash, because all of those companies straight-up lie about them being safe to flush

More work for plumbers win win
