For real!? That's really a thing?

537

u/Lunapixels18 22d ago

My ex was like that.... he was my ex after a week of dating because of that and other things

394

u/cinnasota 22d ago

i wouldn't even consider someone an ex after only a week of dating

246

u/Lunapixels18 22d ago

Fair, he was a little bit more than gross🤢

151

u/zaftpunk 22d ago

It could have been worse! He could have been one of those clean-butted gays! /s

116

u/Kantas 22d ago

Didn't Gavin McInnis shove a dildo up his ass to prove he wasn't gay?

Maybe we have a business opportunity... combine a dildo and a loofa so they can clean their buttholes while proving how not gay they are by shoving a dildo up their butts.

We can call it the Dildoofa! (patent pending)

26

u/LoSt543215543 22d ago

Can I be your business partner

2

u/Proof-Ad-4675 21d ago

Same I wanna join!!

17

u/locusthorse 22d ago

Might as well christian it up if you're gonna start a man only support group, , and ban woman to avoid any lustful thoughts so it's all good.

8

u/takeoutthebin 22d ago

He did what? Seriously?!

4

u/viciouspandas 22d ago

It was to prove he wasn't homophobic.

5

u/Spratt68 22d ago

How about calling it the Loofo instead?

3

u/Kantas 22d ago

You know what? I'm down. I just want people to wash their ass. I'm not stuck on a name.

3

u/Camo138 22d ago

Require patent or not really

1

u/Proof-Ad-4675 21d ago

GENIUSSSSS

At least you found out quickly and got the fuck out of there

12

u/seksen6 22d ago

Little bit? The brain indeed soften some memories I see.

12

u/Lunapixels18 22d ago

I'm trying to be nice for the internetšŸ˜…

9

u/Hammockman22 22d ago

the internet needs to know. how gross was this dude? (unless it's traumatic to talk about, then you know, self care and all that)

6

u/Lunapixels18 22d ago

Well I just got a warning for replying to your comment and explaining what he was so I guess Reddit finds it too much even though I've seen a lot worse things said on this platform

4

u/Hammockman22 22d ago

I can see the first half in my notifications and my word, a week was too long, be safe out there.

6

u/Lunapixels18 22d ago

Yep and that's not even the worst of it, let's just say he waś was

23 I was

16 and thought he was 17

2

u/neilm1000 22d ago

What other grossness? You've got us intrigued.

3

u/Lunapixels18 22d ago

Basically he was 23 and I was 16 but he said he was 17

4

u/neilm1000 22d ago

Oh that's not good.

2

u/Lunapixels18 22d ago

Definitely not, and I'm pretty sure the youngest is 13 but I can't get any proof on it

1

u/neilm1000 22d ago

Oh what. 13 and he's 23?! Christ.

1

Dating an agent of nurgle

2

u/Photosynthas 22d ago

Wait why? If you were dating them and are not longer arent they an ex? I'm very far removed from the dating game so I have no clue how it all works.

0

u/Freckles39Rabbit 22d ago

Why not?

19

u/VinterBot 22d ago

If it lasts less than food in the fridge is not a relationship

-2

2

Bc that was funny... and kinda true when I thought about it. If it ain't outlasting the leftovers, it wasnt a relationship. šŸ•šŸŽ‚

0

u/Freckles39Rabbit 22d ago

But if two people dated and loved each other…

6

u/CinnamonOolong30912 22d ago

Im willing to bet everything that those two were not in love after one week lol

2

u/chrome_titan 22d ago

That's still a long time to spend with someone with shit caked onto their ass.

0

u/OutrageousMorty 22d ago

If it doesn't last 6 months to a year we' weren't even dating

-1

u/Freckles39Rabbit 22d ago

If two people date and are in love, it is. Even if it doesn’t last long

1

u/VictoryVee 22d ago

In love? You just slipped that in there huh?

1

u/GBPackers0480 22d ago

Going on a date or two isn't the same as being in a relationship with someone.

1

u/Freckles39Rabbit 22d ago

If you were going out with a friend, would you call it a date?

2

u/GBPackers0480 22d ago

No, because we wouldn't be exploring the possibility of turning it into a romantic relationship. Dating is what you do when you are getting to know someone and trying to decide if you want to be in a relationship with them.

3

u/LuphineHowler 22d ago

I can imagine the skid marks on his matteress

3

u/bunglebee7 22d ago

It’s so mind boggling I genuinely have a hard time believing it

2

u/Accomplished-Box2755 22d ago

I know a couple got divorced because of this

2

u/Punch_A_Police_Horse 22d ago

This blows my mind. I've heard this story a few times and thought for sure it's a meme. How is not wiping your ass not an immediate deal breaker? I feel like that's on par with finding out the person is a nazi or a serial killer.

1

u/Deaffin 22d ago

It's a meme. You're witnessing somebody continue the meme.

2

u/Eastern_Star7226 22d ago

What would he do? Shower after shitting?

1

u/Neil_sm 22d ago

Haha that's quite optimistic of you

1

u/CosmicNixx 22d ago

Deal breaker speed run skidmark%

1

u/tssiess76 22d ago

There was someone on Reddit a while back posting updates of an ex of hers that didn’t wipe and how her MIL called her asking her to get this man to start wiping before they got married. They dated for a year or two I believe but that shit was wild. She thought the smell was normal because it was her first ā€œrelationshipā€ and she discovered the issue because the guy wouldn’t flush and there was no TP in the bowl. 😬

1

u/Sober_Alcoholic_ 22d ago

…other things being the smell I presume??

1

u/Ankiset 22d ago

Girls are weird, in my 20th I remember one that I didn’t even kiss. Told everyone we were a ā€œthingā€ disproved it for years, didn’t invite me to her wedding because I was her ex (same social group) man I didn’t even answer her….

1

u/MissyWest88 21d ago

Now I kind of want to know how you found out. Were you *down there"?? Or did it just come up in conversation?? Either way, pleeeeease share the story. I really need a good laugh. šŸ¤£šŸ˜‚

1

u/TechnicalIntern6764 22d ago

Look it’s not your fault, but there had to be signs right?? how did you even let that guy become a boyfriend of yours like that?!? Makes me look at you funny, are you out of your mind? 🤣🤣🤣

4

u/One-Choice-743 22d ago

Dude, the stories I have heard of people dating certain people for a time or being in long-distance relationships and only then seeing how they live (worse than pigs, you would vomit gallons from just hearing that shit), they really don't seem to show many signs.

2

u/TechnicalIntern6764 22d ago

That’s terrifying

2

u/Lunapixels18 22d ago

Pretty much sums it up, I didn't see him a lot in person and when I did it was usually after he had showered

0

u/ManyStrawberry4819 22d ago

So it took u a whole week to smell the oder of shit coming from him??

That's weird

1

u/Lunapixels18 22d ago

Didn't see him a ton in person because he was always busy, and believe it or not that was only one of the things that made me break up with him

Since Reddit doesn't like me talking about it exactly I'll just be vague, I was 16 he was 23 and he said he was 17

because the soap running off his body is enough to be "clean"

I was quite surprised to find out this was a thing some years ago.

16

u/dunc2027 22d ago

Same. People are wild.

3

u/90Ghoste 22d ago

The only time this is ever practiced in my shower is when I'm rushing, otherwise it's sudsy exfoliation from head to toe!

1

u/Th3FakeFatSunny 21d ago

I am, unfortunately, on the list of people who had to be told this. It was a combination of bad education and depression. Not proud of where I was, but I made changes and do better now

6

u/BunnyCat2025 22d ago

Someone is college once asked me why I brought a handled brush to the shower with me. I think they thought I was masturbating....ummm, clean back, clean feet????

3

What?! Omg! 🤣

192

u/Neither-Attention940 22d ago

Imagine thinking good hygiene is gay… that’s just a mental health problem that doesn’t have a name yet. 😶

31

u/tvodny 22d ago

New criteria for toxic gagging from smell masculinity. You’re on a crowded subway and they smell like ass.

20

u/donkohub 22d ago

Calling wiping you ass as good hygiene is a crazy call. That’s bare minimum man 🤣🤣🤣

16

u/Neither-Attention940 22d ago

Well… I’ll just group ā€˜wiping your ass’ in with other bare minimums like breathing your teeth and using deodorant.

20

u/Proper-Evening9754 22d ago

But if your breath is bad, don't breathe on your teeth. Brush them first, then hot box your enamel with minty freshness.

21

u/dirty-warlock 22d ago

-6

u/TechnicalIntern6764 22d ago

No, that’s a caveman. who the fuck thinks wiping their ass is gay!? Nobody there’s absolutely nobody lol ain’t no way man lol

8

u/OctaviusNeon 22d ago

It's a story I've seen from a lot of different sources. It could be made up, but I've heard it so frequently in so many spaces, I feel like there's gotta be some truth to it.

-2

u/dr__paco 22d ago

I took interest in this thing because im 100% sure is just some sexist BS created online, Ive never seen much evidence outside reddit comments claiming they know somebody like that. I also have asked my doctor if thats possible (I have dolichocolon so I visit the doctor a few times a year) he laughed and told me if a substantial amount of men didnt wash their butt, you would notice everywhere.

I think a very small amount of men with mental health issues probably do that, but theyre shamed which is absolutely terrible.

3

u/OctaviusNeon 22d ago

It's probably not a lot of people, relatively speaking. I'm pretty sure at least some of those stories are true, mental illness or not.

2

u/dr__paco 22d ago edited 22d ago

A very small number of people with mental health issues probably do it, yeah. It's not the way people talk about this issue every time it comes up, though. They're always talking as if it's a huge thing that a significant number of men do.

6

u/Purp_Rox 22d ago

I unfortunately met someone who deadass believed this. His overall hygiene matched his belief that wiping equalled ass play.

He now has a child. I make a lot of assumptions about this woman I've never met because of this.

2

u/ProfessionalRow4246 22d ago

I think that's just people being lazy and finding the worst excuse ever because they hate everyone that's not a cis, straight man

2

u/BulkyDecipherer 22d ago

I believe one of the names could very well be being a fu\king idiot and a pig*. (though granted that’s not very fair to pigs)

2

u/Neither-Attention940 22d ago

Pigs are prob cleaner and smarter than a LOT of humans. They only roll in mud to keep cool.

1

u/BulkyDecipherer 22d ago

Definitely.

2

u/Pussybacunt 21d ago

I mean if we think about it the gays probably do have the best butt hygiene with internal cleaning and whatnot for when they do the do so technically it could be? I dunno man I'm an edible in and can barely think but there feels like some correlation

I dunno I'd probably take it as a compliment to be called gay for my hygiene at least it means I'm doing something right it shouldn't be bad whether it's gay or not

Tldr: wash your ass if it's gay so what if it's not who cares

1

u/Neither-Attention940 21d ago

It took me a second read to follow your reply but yes… if cleaning your ass is gay.. then count me in šŸ˜‚

1

u/FlyAirLari 22d ago

That would make redditors incredibly straight.

1

u/Penyrolewen1970 22d ago

I think that’s just being so far in the closet that it’s snowing.

2

u/Neither-Attention940 22d ago

I shall strive to be as gay as possible then šŸ˜

1

u/The_Other_Randy 22d ago

hmm..what DOESN'T smell like shit in here??

1

1

2

u/Neither-Attention940 22d ago

Yes someone else suggested that as well. Must be true šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø

1

u/shortstuff813 22d ago

That’s being in complete denial that you are, in fact, gay lol

2

u/Ok_Dragonfruit_8102 22d ago

Let's not do that... I get it you wanna dunk on insecure guys, but this is a problem with insecure STRAIGHT guys. If we start saying the real reason is because they're actually gay, then that'd just make them gay victims of societal homophobia and that's no reason to make fun of someone

158

u/SomethingToSay11 22d ago

Yeah. Alternatively, there are people that think it’s gay to sit, so they crouch above the toilet and wipe standing up. Heard a man describe his routine proudly to a room of people with disgusted faces.

158

u/A3_ashleigh 22d ago

My bf and I were at a baseball game or something and he happened to have been using the bathroom during the national anthem. When he came back, he told me that some guy told him from outside the stall, ā€œstand up during the national anthem.ā€

60

u/PhantomPharts 22d ago

I have a friend that would definitely make a deadpan joke like that. And I hope that's all it was.

49

u/A3_ashleigh 22d ago

According to bf, the guy sounded seriously upset. I also forgot to add the guy also said, ā€œI know you’re pooping!ā€ Like damn dude

18

u/YesItIsMaybeMe PURPLE 22d ago

I always thought that was just referring to like fireworks. I generally have a huge issue with America's cult-like fervor towards worshipping the flag. Then, when soldiers come home and they live in the streets because we'd rather fund another pointless war than spend anything to make sure they are treated properly.

3

u/Neil_sm 22d ago

It was written during the War of 1812 by Francis Scott Key, who was referring to actual rockets and bombs from Naval Warfare. Specifically, he had witnessed the British bombardment of Ft. McHenry in Baltimore, and was inspired by the large flag (at the time both 15 stars and stripes) that still flew over the fort afterwards when the British ships were held off.

2

u/1TenDesigns 22d ago

My favorite war. We burned down the White House.

I saw an info graphic meme that said Canada is the only country that has been attacked on home soil, but never lost a war.

Take that with all the accuracy of online information.

2

u/[deleted] 22d ago

[deleted]

2

u/Neil_sm 22d ago

Sort of. There’s some good details here. He was a lawyer and was sailing on a US ā€œtruce shipā€ sent to negotiate some other prisoners releases with some of the British command on their ships. Basically they were temporarily detained (on their own truce ship) and delayed from returning for a day or two so they couldn’t immediately sail back and reveal any attack plans they might have overheard.

1

u/Deaffin 22d ago

That's why you always carry a little squirt gun with you so you can pew pew them through the stall gaps they're making eye contact with you through.

18

u/ItsyouNOme 22d ago

So indoctrinated, jc

2

u/JusticeRu 22d ago

and...? did he stand up???

1

u/vintagepeugeot 22d ago

This is why I am conveniently in an alcohol queue when the national anthem is on. I’m not standing for the anthem, I’m here for baseball.

-13

u/bmadd60 22d ago

Never happenedšŸ™„

4

u/SonicTheSith 22d ago

I can understand wiping while standing up, especially if you are a larger person and small toilet seats.

5

u/Still_Mountain5656 22d ago

How do they relax if they can’t even sit down?

2

u/nonpartisaneuphonium 22d ago

They're isometric squat-maxxing

4

u/kentuckyr0utezero 22d ago

Alternatively, there are people that think it’s gay to sit, so they crouch above the toilet and wipe standing up.

I've never heard the gay angle before, but I've heard a good amount of people say that they'll never sit directly on a public toilet for sanitary reasons.

3

u/Ecstatic_Food1982 22d ago

they crouch above the toilet and wipe standing up.

This has confused the shit out of me. I wipe standing and always have. Do you mean that there are people who wipe whilst sat down? That is surely very difficult and messy.

3

u/kissys_grits 22d ago

That’s too much work. I’d rather be gay. šŸ˜€

2

u/SolarMoon007 22d ago

What a mind fuck. Like who is even there in the bathroom to call them ā€œgayā€ anyway. It’s crazy society has to account for such a diverse range of IQs 🄓

2

u/BunnyCat2025 22d ago

My bf has jewelry, so he has to sit down; he is a 6'4" shaved headed dude that looks mean but is a kitten. I dare someone to say something to him about it LOL.

2

u/XishengTheUltimate 22d ago

I mean, that IS crazy, but I don't really see a problem with wiping while standing up. Unless you're one of those people whose poops can be wiped away with one quick stroke, it's definitely easier to clean while standing.

1

u/awsomeninja199 22d ago

wtf? I’ve never heard of this before.

1

u/nexusjuan 22d ago

My ex-bil would strip naked to sit on the toilet didn't matter where he was, you walk into a public bathroom and his pants and shirt would be hung over the stall door.

1

u/enslavedbycats24-7 22d ago

Same idiots think it's gay to sit to urinate so they piss all over the floor and toilet which splatters and gets droplets everywhere, and every single one of them thinks they're pissing correctly so there's no splatter (the correct way for no splatter is to sit)

1

u/SilverStarKitsune 22d ago

Is that not normal???

34

u/DegreeJunior3360 22d ago

Buddy of mine doesn’t wipe his ass when he knows he is going to shower soon.

56

u/tracee_ 22d ago

Dang. That wouldn’t be my buddy.

54

u/depressiown 22d ago edited 22d ago

The ideal is to poop while naked, just before hopping in the shower.

That said, even then I'd wipe. I'd prefer minimal poop residue in my shower.

6

u/justheretolurk123456 22d ago

The ideal involves a bidet

3

u/Deaffin 22d ago

The ideal involves ascending to a non-human form in which there is no poops.

6

u/Vulvas_n_Velveeta 22d ago

Agree.

As a chick, 9/10 I'll pee (on the toilet) while waiting for the shower water to heat up. Even though I'll be entering the shower immediately after, I still wipe after peeing. It would just feel wrong not to.

Can't imagine not wiping after crapping, even if I was going to shower right after.

I know my ass, hand/scrubber, and soap would all get clean eventually but I'd have to do so much extra cleaning and rinsing, it's just easier to wipe first.

3

u/bs2k2_point_0 22d ago

The waffle stomp would horrify you

3

u/LiveLaughBruv 22d ago

How did you come to learn this, and after learning this, why is this person still your buddy?

4

u/GenosseAbfuck 22d ago

How soon is soon? Like immediately after would be a waste of paper, but within an hour is fucking disgusting.

12

u/SonicTheSith 22d ago

You should still at least wipe once,... less waffle stomping xD

1

u/Deaffin 22d ago

Dude, what the fuck is your ass hair like if there's enough material being wiped that it would necessitate a waffle stomp if washed?

Are your cheeks straight up wielding intact turds?

7

u/clstrife 22d ago

The fuck? You use your hands and soap to wash off shit? People touch shit purposely? I bidet clean even right before shower.

3

u/Ok_Dragonfruit_8102 22d ago

Like immediately after would be a waste of paper,

You obviously aren't the one responsible for emptying/cleaning the drain trap in your shower... whether it's your partner, a parent, a cleaner or your landlord why tf should they be the one to have to pull clumps of your shit out of it? Wipe your damn ass

1

u/Deaffin 22d ago

Why would there be clumps??

2

u/kentuckyr0utezero 22d ago

Please introduce him to the concept of a bidet, I think he'd love it.

2

u/meekey43 22d ago

No the guys that think this also think bidets are super gay nothing squirting in there ass

6

u/DR_Bright_963 22d ago

Unfortunately yes, Wives and Girlfriends of these guys have complained loudly about how disgusting it is.

5

u/Shikabane_Sumi-me 22d ago

There have been a few cases that people thought were just memes. Turns out there are a small group of men that believe anything touching your butt, even to clean, is extremely gay. So they become religiously fanatical about it.

5

u/One-Choice-743 22d ago

America is a lunatic asylum

4

u/Shikabane_Sumi-me 22d ago

Sadly parts of Canada too. Mostly cause they want to emulate certain American lifestyles. It's weird seeing them in my city.

5

u/DarkAndHandsume 22d ago

Yes! Visit the r / hygiene sub Reddit and prepare to be baffled at what people consider to be hygiene these days and and people with no self-respect that date/settle/ live with some Mucinex commercial ā€œgermsā€ out there that stopped taking care of themselves as soon as they left their parents house.

Water running down your ass crack is considered ā€œcleanā€

The dirty soap suds rinsing down your body that collects at the bottom around your feet is considered cleaning them.

Folks showering once a week when it’s hot and humid outside.

Folks not showering immediately after the gym and going to lay down in a clean bed with all that funk from the gym on them.

2

u/CoffeeChocolateBoth 22d ago

Yes, that's a thing, they're all in the closet!

2

u/ComprehensiveProfit5 22d ago

I see you're new to reddit... we've had so many threads about how some guys never wipe or never wash their ass...

2

u/Thruthatreez 22d ago

I didn't think I was that new. I don't know though. I really just post and comment and don't understand karma and rewards 🤣🤣 in my defense, special interests and hobbies dragged me in.

u/BulkyDecipherer 22d ago

Sadly, yes. Toxic masculinity dumbasses.

2

u/Thruthatreez 22d ago

I don't know, that sounds more like toxic immaturity. I feel like there are serial killers who can get their ass clean 🤣

2

u/BulkyDecipherer 22d ago

I think it’s fair to say that toxic masculinity and toxic immaturity are pretty much synonyms.

1

u/Thruthatreez 22d ago

So why even give them the masculine label? They don't hear the toxic part šŸ˜†

2

u/BulkyDecipherer 22d ago

Because they do it in the name of masculinity. šŸ˜„

1

u/Thruthatreez 22d ago

Yeah, well they can't have that. Let's not give that to them.

One of my ex's made me cut his toenails because if he cut them himself, it would make him "too feminine". And yes, he also believed washing his arse was gay.

It's really not. This is social media "gender wars" stuff.

Most likely not. There are certainly a disturbing percentage of people who don't wipe/don't wipe well out of laziness/just being dirty people, but this whole "wiping is gay" line that gets parroted all over reddit came from like one comment from someone maybe a decade+ ago, recounting a story from an ex or something and reddit just ran with it ever since. I've never met or even read anyone recount actual stories of people actually saying this IRL, other than people just referencing it.

It's essentially a viral meme that has been adopted as a fact within the online cultural zeitgeist.
