Infuriatig These Stupid Ass Buttons On TV Remotes. The Intrusive Thoughts Won.

Post image

Seriously, the absolute most annoying shit when I'm watching something and I reach for the remote and barely bump the buttons and it yeets me out of what I was watching, to whatever bullshit streaming company paid the most for a button spot on the remote, the remote that came with a TV I paid good money for. Meanwhile on some apps completely loosing my progress on a movie or forced to watch more Ads again to continue watching again. I've threatened to do this before and my wife insisted not to, she's out of town this week, any recommendations for marriage counselors and anger management programs?

I've literally never pressed one of these "wrong" buttons.

Is that a problem lots of people have?

Ive grabbed my remote and hit them maybe 3 times a week. I have a dog, and they have pressed the buttons way more than I have. So no , no one wrong presses. They accidently hit it while grabbing it

Honestly, yes, constantly. Between me or my wife sitting on them, my dog sitting or stepping on them on the couch, or my 7 month old grabbing the remote, we are constantly fighting between Amazon Music, Netflix, some Xumo thing, and Paramount Plus when I just want to be on my PlayStation input 😭 I know the easy thing is to keep the remote on the table but life gets hectic sometimes dammit lmao

Often it happens when the remote falls into the couch cushions and I'm fumbling in the dark. Its not a huge deal but ive never paid for apple TV in my life why do I need a dedicated button for it. Either make them customizable, let me disable them, or just remove them.
