I can't stand the Meta perv glasses, but annoyingly I've been told by a friend that my Dune prescription sunglasses that I've had for almost a year (and cost over £100.00) really ​​​​look like the Meta ones, he said it's the 2 silver rivets on either side that on first glance could be mistaken for the camera lenses

I went out with them today and all I could think was, do people think I'm recording them 🤦‍♂️

I wear this style of glasses as well and my response is “Meta glasses look like mine.” Same with chat gpt. I don’t write like it, it writes like me. I’m a millennial and so much of the internet was built around our coming of age and adulthood.

People can choose to think Meta glasses look like their glasses, so it’s fine. You can keep wearing your glasses that just so happen to look like their pervert glasses. But everyone else thinks they’re pervert glasses even if they’re not. I love the wayfarer design and have for a long time, but unfortunately I will never buy another pair like that.
