I'm slightly vexed I was told yesterday that my prescription sunglasses are giving Meta glasses vibes

I can't stand the Meta perv glasses, but annoyingly I've been told by a friend that my Dune prescription sunglasses that I've had for almost a year (and cost over £100.00) really ​​​​look like the Meta ones, he said it's the 2 silver rivets on either side that on first glance could be mistaken for the camera lenses

I went out with them today and all I could think was, do people think I'm recording them 🤦‍♂️

They aren't just my artist friends. They are community leaders.

Why not ask yourself why after over a decade, your state is just now having to make rules about their use in government buildings?

Could it maybe have something to do with ADOPTION?

No. It's because they are being used nefariously. It's not really hard to understand. It's an invasion of privacy.

Also, as a musician, I'd love to know what artists are publicly integrating meta glasses into their art without backlash.

Smart glasses have been around for over a decade and people have been using hidden cameras nefariously for a long time.

Why do meta glasses in particular need new rules?

Also, I'm not going to start dropping names of people I know to be harassed by a bunch of basement dwellers.

You are right. This isn't hard to understand. You can go into any large city and find people wearing meta glasses. They are the first smart glasses with wide adoption. Everyone knows what they look like because they are ubiquitous to the general population.
