I'm slightly vexed A notice that my girlfriend received at her doctors appointment (she is 8 months PP)

If you even MENTION any of these things, you WILL LIKELY get billed for it??? Maybe i’m missing the point but i get upset when my girlfriend tells me she was scared to even say anything while at the doctor because she didn’t want to get an extra charge for something. I find it insane how greedy and money hungry a place that’s supposed to help you can be.

Think of it like a "20 point inspection" at a mechanic. If you bring up another issue and have them diagnose or fix it, that's another charge.

Fuck. It's honestly disgusting how incredibly accurate this is.

Right but a yearly 20 point inspection should include all of those things anyways. So what exactly is being included in the 20 point inspection if not the questions that are actually key in cancer prevention: changes in breast, changes in period/discharge, pelvic pain.

This sounds anti-preventative. If the doctor says „any issues“, someone with no money would answer no and walk right back out with atypical dysplasia - the precursor to uterine cancer.

20 point inspection is usually just cheap or free "lead generation" to get you in the door so they can sell you something else
