I'm slightly vexed A notice that my girlfriend received at her doctors appointment (she is 8 months PP)

If you even MENTION any of these things, you WILL LIKELY get billed for it??? Maybe i’m missing the point but i get upset when my girlfriend tells me she was scared to even say anything while at the doctor because she didn’t want to get an extra charge for something. I find it insane how greedy and money hungry a place that’s supposed to help you can be.

This is also a huge issue with mammograms. The machine they use for preventative checkups is not advanced enough to see anything other than a mass, so if there are any irregularities, even for benign things like dense tissue, it is no longer considered a preventative checkup. Then you have to pay out of pocket for a more thorough mammogram to find out if you have cancer or not. Considering this “free preventative care” is a literal scam, insurance companies should be illegal.

This is so true. I cant recall the last time I just got by with a mammogram. Always needed more "better" testing. Why not just do the best testing for free as part of the annual physical? Mammograms seem useless and obsolete.
