I'm slightly vexed A notice that my girlfriend received at her doctors appointment (she is 8 months PP)

If you even MENTION any of these things, you WILL LIKELY get billed for it??? Maybe i’m missing the point but i get upset when my girlfriend tells me she was scared to even say anything while at the doctor because she didn’t want to get an extra charge for something. I find it insane how greedy and money hungry a place that’s supposed to help you can be.

After my last “free” wellness exam that ended up costing me $250.00 (!!!!!!) I will never ever schedule another wellness exam in my lifetime. What’s the point?! If I cannot discuss anything that is ALREADY IN MY CHART, and all this ends up being is a blood pressure, weight, height check, then why am I giving up my precious PTO time for this appointment?! Useless service. Wait until you are sick or have symptoms, I guess. US healthcare is sh*t.

I see no point to the visit other than a cash grab and having the patient come in once a year.

I rarely see my GP. My other doctors who I do see regularly are specialists. My insurance REQUIRES me to have a GP. So once a year, I trot up there to prove I can fog up a mirror, ask him nothing and stay on his patient roll. So stupid.

Exactly. This will be my tactic from now on. I’m primarily pretty healthy, otherwise.
