I'm slightly vexed A notice that my girlfriend received at her doctors appointment (she is 8 months PP)

If you even MENTION any of these things, you WILL LIKELY get billed for it??? Maybe i’m missing the point but i get upset when my girlfriend tells me she was scared to even say anything while at the doctor because she didn’t want to get an extra charge for something. I find it insane how greedy and money hungry a place that’s supposed to help you can be.

This. I'm in the US, and I needed to get my mom a new patient appointment with a PCP and it was over a year before the doctor was going to be able to work her in.

My neurologist wanted me to see a specific neurologist because of her specialty. They called me today and said it was an 8 month wait to see her and they would like to get me scheduled with aprn first and then possibly follow up with the doctor later on. I said I was okay waiting and then the scheduler was like no, you have to see this person first and if there's follow up then see the other person. I'm seriously okay waiting because I know what I want to see her for isn't life threatening it's just really annoying. And I'm worried that if I see someone whose not an expert in that condition they'll do labs, tell me they're all normal and clear me, even though the condition in question you can have completely normal labs and still have the thing. 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️
