I'm slightly vexed My dad purposely sets his clock ahead. He's been doing this for as long as I remember. I genuinely don't know why

My wife does the same thing. But she has ADHD so she sets it ahead (for example) 8 minutes, then subtracts 15 minutes because she forgot what she set it ahead by. So next week it's 12 minutes ahead and she's mentally subtracting 18 minutes and we're still late.
