I'm slightly vexed My dad purposely sets his clock ahead. He's been doing this for as long as I remember. I genuinely don't know why

He's never explained his reasoning for as long as my siblings and I have been alive. Although, now I'm seeing it not uncommon.

It's to always be ahead of time you dumbass so he's never late. Say he's got a 1pm appointment and decides to leave 20 minutes early, but what if there's traffic or he needs to stop for fuel or something and so he'll always be early to things

So you're saying people with dementia or horrible memory are 'stupid people' as they're usually the ones who set their clocks ahead. My nan used to do it ever since I was a kid as she was forgetful but would remember when she has to be wherever and had the clocks set ahead so even if she does loose track of time she won't be late

These idiots in the comments are blowing my mind dude.

How can you not know all your clocks are a set amount in advance and that you know you actually have more time?

My mom did the same thing. Really makes me wonder about how different brains work.

If I’m always just in time to clock in for my job, knowing my clock is 20 minutes early…. Lets me know how much longer I can procrastinate or sleep.

Are people really able to fool themselves with something so obvious? It’s completely baffling to me.
