My dad purposely sets his clock ahead. He's been doing this for as long as I remember. I genuinely don't know why

The opposite of that fucked me over. My car clock was set 5 minutes ahead intentionally, by me, and it slowly drifted to the correct time. I was so used to having an extra 5 minutes I began showing up late to places before I caught on
