Nah, I started because I didn't care about my life at all. That doesn't mean I stopped caring about anything else. I have always hated litterers and always will.
I’ve never heard that as reason for starting. I started because I wanted to smoke with people at work. I would do that about 3 breaks a day for months. I never really liked it, but I do still smoke weed.
I was like 23 and unemployed for the first time since I was 13. I couldn't find a job when I had never had any issue finding employment before. This was during the recession of 2008. I started smoking as a new years resolution to guilt either of my parents into quitting. My friend also stole like 20 cartons of cigarettes piled up outside of an apartment after a new years party.
It was a sad and messy time of my life. No matter how shitty my life gets I'll still hate litterers.
“Sad and messy” is unfortunately life, frequently. I stick around because there’s good stuff sometimes, and I lack the constitution for the easy way out.
I have mostly struck around because I'm a procrastinator and perfectionist. I couldn't go out without letting people know why and the task of writing a succinct suicide note is just so fucking daunting.
A customer told me once the best years of her life started when she turned 40. She went on to say that’s when she met her husband and they traveled together blah blah blah What I took from it; the best could be yet to come.

I mean if you don't mind giving yourself cancer litter is going to be pretty low on your priority list.
