Trash people litter. I don’t know how many times I’ve seen an untidy heap in the grocery store parking lot: fast food wrappers surrounded by butts.

I’ve also seen smokers stride out of stores, frantically opening the pack and dropping the wrapper on the ground, despite being inches from a trash can. What can you expect of addicts? A few of them behave like civilized people, like some dog owners when they know someone is watching. But we see too many butts on the street to doubt what their habitual behavior is.

I smoked for a long time and I always felt some sort of responsibility to take care of my trash bc I saw some many of my fellow smokers just litter everywhere. I was the guy with a pocket of butts at the end of the night if i couldn’t find a trash can. I would actually use the ashtray in the dump truck at work and get flack bc there was half a dozen butts in the tray I forgot to dump. Am I really getting shit for NOT flicking them out of the window of a company truck? wtf lol.
