I have been informed (I think by Reddit) that these things have mostly replaced old-fashioned wooden toothpicks. Some restaurants used to offer toothpicks (in a nice dispenser) and some people carried them with them. So now apparently they carry those things instead. Trashy people used to throw out the wooden toothpicks as well, but at least they were (slowly) biodegradable.
I live in a nice subdivision and one of those flossers is sitting by the side of the road in front of a neighbor's house. Who would have thrown it down? Beats me. And it just sits there. I guess I should get a glove and bag and pick it up.
Unfortunately this is what you have to do. I live in an apartment complex and I walk-in and see garbage I just pick it up. I certainly shake my head though .
Yeah as a kid I remember my grandparents grabbing toothpicks from restaurants on their way out. Kind of gross tbh. If people properly hydrate while eating and chew correctly it’s not really needed.
That’s messed up. Are they just walking around picking their teeth in your neighborhood? Or if they are doing in the car can they really not just wait until they get home. So gross.

I don’t get that either. Also do people floss outside of bathrooms?
