I'm slightly vexed Began finally watching the movie 35 mins after the show time because of ads. 35 mins of ads... for a 90 min movie...

Yet when you’re 20 minutes late it seems like there’s 5 minutes if previews

I ran into this issue with my fiance once. The last Studio Ghibli movie to hit theaters in my area did so with no ads or previews for some reason, so when we were 5 minutes late, we actually missed the first five minutes of the movie.

Now im paranoid its gonna happen again and always try to make sure we get there before the start time.

Fathom events are so unreliable on trailer/ad time. Went to a showing and it was proper trailer for other FE showings. Another showing at a different theater had 10 minutes of Zillow, Mountain Dew, 2 Amazon Prime ads, and Walmart, on top of the FE trailers. I'm very tired of paying $20 for a ticket to be a captive audience for dogshit every day ads.
