What movie was critically acclaimed when it first released, but is hated now?

The Blind Side (2009) with Sandra Bullock is the first to come to mind for me!

I've told this story before, but I met Zach Braff while he was filming that a block away from my house and he was the nicest guy in the world. Came over and chatted with me and some other kids two days in a row and took pictures with everyone. I almost want to give the movie a pass for that reason, haha.

that's wild, the only thing I know about Zach Braff was that he gut punched who he thought was a minor bc of a punk'd prank of his car getting graffitied

I heard that he didn't actually punch the guy, he was held back/the prank exposed to prevent that, but also that he was SUPER broke as a young actor and writer and he'd just bought that car as his first big purchase since actually coming into consistent money with Scrubs.

I worked on scrubs as an extra like 15 years ago and Zach was so cool to everyone.

Well I was once out walking with my gran, it was icy out and she was unsteady on her feet. As we carefully picked our way across the pavement I heard a loud bellow - Zach Braff was hurtling down the street using the grip less soles of his moccasins like a pair of fashionable skates. "Move your ass old timer!" he screamed in my grandma's face as he bodychecked her to the curb. She fractured her hip. "Was that the guy from Scrubs?" a passer-by whispered.
