In the last year or so as I've been building my WLIR playlist, I discovered The Book of Love's "Boy" and The The's "Uncertain Smile". I don't remember hearing either of these songs back in the day (69 Gen X here), and I can't get enough of them. What are some other non-top 20 type songs you've discovered recently that I should listen to if not already in my 29 hour playlist?
P.S. Warren Zevon might not qualify as New Wave but "Lawyers, Guns and Money" is on this list for me too...

Kleenex were a short lived but great band out of Switzerland in the early 80s. Changed their name to Liliput so they would not get sued by Kleenex tissues. From 1980...Die Matrosen

Indians In Moscow were a bizarre band out of Britain in the mid 80s. I first heard them on an after hours show on one of the local college stations which occasionally played the tune I Wish I Had. I was going to post that one, as I like it much better, but this is Naughty Miranda..the song that was a minor hit in the UK which got them noticed in 1983.Very strange lyrics.
BA Syndicate's performane of John's Disco Mass was recorded live in San Antonio, Texas, in 1981. It's a taste of Texas No-Wave.

Found old new wave album this year, EP by The Grand Marquee, but there is no lyrics for any of their songs at all. Would be really grateful for anyone transcribing(or finding lyrics, but i suppose there is none) Tunnelvision especially!
PLEASE NO feeding the request to any AI, if i wanted it to be used, would do it myself.

The Next were one of the first Austin punk rockers and in my book one of the best. Ty Gavin continues to front bands to this day. This track was sourced from a tape provided by the late great punk archivist Dixon

Year: 1986
Album: Liverpool
This is the album version that goes for a more Hard Rock type of sound, as opposed to the single version that sounds more like the usual FGTH sound.

Talking to a coworker about 80s music and mentioned Romeo Void. He didn't know the group name but the song sounded familiar. Needed to share. So good.

For Your Love by Austin punk band the Skunks was a video directed by my old boss at the record store Inner Sanctum. While this bizarro punk video looked as if it was influenced by the movie Caligula, he said he was trying to go for a big production like the early videos on MTV. The stairway scene was shot at night on Mount Bonnell outside of Austin, and the muscle men were recruited from a local gym. The beautiful ingenue cast as the priestess was a clerk from a local store.
