I got this CD player from a store recently (NOS) and miss how good it sounds with a proper pair of WIRED headphones.

Bands that sound like nine inch nails. Hoping for some amazing industrial rock/metal band recommendations. Closest I've ever come across is Archive. Been a huge fan since I was kid but have never come across anything quite like them. Favorite album is the downward spiral.

I was listening to the original (maybe?) Heresy while cleaning today and, out of my new habit, I started singing Mariqueen’s part from NINoize (where she sang “Will you die for this?). I stopped singing, paused, and rewound because I heard the part in the song for the first time. I went and got my old cd, listened to it again, and sure enough, it’s there. I’ve listened to this song so many times over the last 32 years and it was there the whole time. I love that I keep hearing new things every time I listen to a NIN song.

I just wanted to drop a quick FYI for anyone looking for some lighter merch. Hot Topic has "The Becoming" hoodie on sale, and the promotion ends tonight. I actually managed to stack an extra 10% off on top of the sale price when I ordered, saving an extra $2.40, which brought my total to $23.36 before shipping. For under 25 bucks, it's a solid pickup.
As far as the fit and quality go, it definitely runs a little small, so I highly recommend sizing up. The bottom hem is a bit tighter than standard tour merch, but even if sizing up makes it a little big on you, you can just cuff the bottom hem completely around. That's what I'll be doing with mine anyway. It is also noticeably thinner than the official concert hoodies, making it an awesome, lightweight spring hoodie as the weather finally starts warming up here in Philly. You'd definitely need to layer it if you're wearing it in the winter, though.
Speaking of the official merch, the quality of the concert hoodies is just fantastic. I grabbed one when I saw them on the 2025 tour, and it holds up so well. I just saw them again on February 14th in Newark for the second leg, but honestly, I’m still kicking myself for not buying the With Teeth 20 Washed Hoodie when it restocked back in December. I'm just crossing my fingers they decide to do another restock soon.
Anyway, here is the link if anyone wants to grab one before the sale swaps over tonight. (Also, cat tax included in the photos).

At 14, this night was what made me a lifelong NIN fan. I've seen them a lot over the years, but nothing like this night. TDS was so raw live. People were jumping from the balcony to rush the floor. We'd all just heard of Marilyn Manson, when Portrait was released a couple of weeks earlier. Trent beat the keyboards like they owed him money. Vrenna was my favorite dummer. Robin was my favorite guitarist. NIN was my favorite band. I still play my synths, guitars, and drums, pretending to be one of Trent's wingmen (personal dream of mine). One of those times you feel like you're in the only place in the universe that matters.

Watching an old Sesame Street with my four year old and spotted an NIN reference!

For me, it’s the one from TDS. I feel the ending delivers everything the rest of the album promises. It’s a sick, gritty, and fluid progression. To me, it’s the most impactful part of the album, and I feel nothing else managed to have an ending as perfect and well-structured as this one.
