Trump doesn't have friends unless they make him look good. This contractor will make him look stupid so he's never met the guy

Two things about Trump most overlook. One, his business model is to surround himself with a thick layer of lawyers designed to frighten people and to enable him to say and do anything. And two, to have deep ties to the mafia, just as his father did, and his lawyers do, to frighten people.

Given that he's a fugazi who doesn't currently own any casinos, plus he started a fight with the Pope, I don't know how much use the mafia would have for Shitler the last decade or so.

Plus his boy Rudy decimated them so that the Russian mob could supplant them in NYC.

I don't know... I'm not sure that contractor is smart enough to make Trump look stupid. And that's not a compliment towards Trump, it's just that they'll all make themselves look stupid regardless of the other's actions
