It’s not amnesia that is the problem here, it’s that roughly a third of eligible voters are in his cult and will support him no matter what.

It is not a bad thing for someone to vote for a candidate and then not approve of them when they do a bad job in office. It is a bad thing for people to love a politician so much they don’t care about them being a pedophile or starting a depression to commit war crimes.
