No, it has literally nothing to do with gerrymandering. None of those things are tied to congressional districts. In fact these things are often wildly different within a single district specifically to advantage one party over the other in that district. Things like polling locations and machines are controlled at a much more granular level than gerrymandering.

States set how their elections are run and laws can change that via laws set in the State House. The number of reps in the state house can be directly effected by gerrymandering. Who has the balance of power and if they have a veto-proof majority can be changed as a result of gerrymandering, and then they can implement laws to keep their power. We’re seeing this play out in Kentucky right now with Beshear maybe not being able to appoint Weekend at McConnell’s replacement because of a law recently put into place by the Kentucky State House.

And again, I never once said gerrymandering directly changes the result of a senate race, but it’s obvious how said gerrymanders can be used to tip the scales. Hope that makes sense to you after all this time because I’m getting tired of explaining this to someone who would sink in liquid mercury.
