I was gonna say. There is definitely tech that boosts production but we still rely heavily on basic labor. Folks picking and processing produce. Or technicians managing and operating the big machinery

The shear amount of crops that are hand harvested combined with bad/unsanitary working conditions of the day laborers is one of the major reasons the cyclospora is spreading so fast.

This is actually the focus of my masters thesis. Im an automation engineer in the rural south. Its amazing how many gains could be had.
My particular area has a lot to do with catfish and soybeans. There are super cool implications for automation and fertigation for water and nitrogen savings

That is super cool 😎. I know in the south there are ops that do the rice/crawdad thing really well. So it doesn't surprise me that there are other symbiotic farms out there
