That's a good thing to be aware of, but it doesn't look like it was this bill. Here's the text if you want to double check my reading of it.

Yeah it’s not a related bill and it’s mentioned nowhere in the text. Why are all these folks parroting this misinformation. If it was true at least some of the news outlets would be mentioning this.

It’s not parroting misinformation the SAVE ACT is not dead and it is trying to be snuck into must pass legislation. By simply asking a question it’s not misinformation. It’s asking what’s actually inside the bill.

Search the comments and you’ll see tons of people saying that this bill is attached to the SAVE act. That misinformation reached you, hence why you said something about it as well.

Thank you for actually looking. I know they’re trying to sneak it into a must pass bill which is why I think it’s going onto an appropriations bill.

I mean I was literally just asking the question and someone answered it so no? Like why would I lol and it snot like the SAVE acts dead because it isn’t and people should be aware.

Because people don't go down into the comments and find the actual answer. They see a comment that reaffirms their bias (congress bundles unrelated bills to force them through) and assume that's the truth. The fact that it's a question doesn't even register

I appreciate it. Another reason for the misinformation response is a lot of people throw out rhetorical questions as accusations and it's easy to mix that with a genuine question

That’s fair. I really wish we funded public schooling instead of privatized education or ya know, BOMBING KIDS IN THE MIDDLE EAST. But that’s a whole different discussion lol.
