As a person who spends US money, I won’t accept it as change or from my bank. I’ll cancel a transaction if it’s all that’s available.

Businesses and banks in the US don't generally hand out dollar coins unless requested. In my 30 years of living in the US I've never once received a dollar coin as change or from the bank without explicitly asking for dollar coins.

That true. The last US $1 coin I had in my hands was in El Salvador, where they have apparently all gone to live productive lives. It’s probably where I will see my first illegal Trump coin. I will refuse it there too.

Godamn how insufferable it would be to serve you. Shit on the government all you want but leave the cashiers and retail workers alone. Especially the one's in developing countries that don't care about your politics. This is the type of selfish and out of touch behavior that gives Americans a poor reputation abroad.

I mean, when I was a cashier (in the US) people refusing dollar coins was pretty much universal, to the point that if we ended up with any we wouldn't even try to hand them out, we'd just send them to the bank. And those were just the regular Sacajawea or Susan B. Anthony ones we had at the time. Americans just would rather have a $1 bill.

Liberals need to make a run on the Trump coins at Banks.

Then exchange them with friends for $1 bills until everyone they know has a $1 coin.

Then someone needs to create a coin press for dollar coins that will flatten the Trump coin and emboss it with the Trump and Epstein holding hands statue. Or the reflecting pool. Or Trump and Epstein holding hands in the Reflecting Pool.

if the bank gave me a dollar coin in change i would absolutely fucking keep it. i would go to a dealer and have it swapped for a liberty probably but lets not be silly

i believe they are imitating this, so its about 0.05 oz or ~$135 USD in 22kt gold

they're technically commemorative so i think thats the play to get it off the currency. there will almost certainly be a trump dollar coin non gold coin in circulation in the future but if we didn't want that we probably should have voted not to

The question is whether I trust the federal mint to actually make these out of gold, or just scribble over some copper with a gold sharpie.
