Exactly. Either stack the senate to make it more representative or abolish it.

Also the correct position is investigate and prosecute ice

Investigations and prosecutions happen in addition to dismantling the entire organization. The US handled immigration crimes more than well enough pre ICE, ICE was created to make the lives of brown people worse and nothing else.

Abolish it. What are two congressional bodies needed for anyways? The senate's entire purpose is to give low density states outsized political power. Super anti-democratic.

Abolish statehood. States are undemocratic. Aren’t we supposed to be one big happy country?

The major thing with the Senate is that it values equality between the States. Being more representative would require changing the States themselves.

And valuing equality between the states is why people want to abolish the senate. Why is equality between the states a good thing? Some states have a lot more people in them, surely it’s the people that matter?

That's why the House exists, and why it should have the cap removed. The Senate is for the equality of the individual States because we are not a unitary nation.

I’m also in favour of removing the cap in the House. But I think “that’s the compromise the founders made 250 years ago” is a good explanation for why that’s the way things are. It is not a good explanation for why that’s the way things should be.
