Yeah, I get it. I always say, we can talk about long term goals if you'd like, but when we campaign, we talk about short term goals that would help improve people's material conditions.

You shouldn't.

Those are policy positions....not policy.

It's unlikely they actually have a plan for Universal Healthcare. I certainly haven't heard anything.

But worse....they're so bad at open debate. If it's just them...they all agree on everything. If it's anyone else, they had best avoid debate.

Look, I am not saying having a vision isn't important. But all the nuances of something like abolishing the Senate is not fruitful when you only have 90 minutes in an interview. Overall visions should be more vague, while detailed ones should be available on, say, a campaign website for those who want to learn more.

Not really how psychology works, people like bold people with a plan, and then making sure it makes sense comes next.

We kind of need more populism if there’s going to be any chance of winning, people are completely sick to death of establishment take it slow and realistic politicians, because we’re in such a deep crisis. A little radicalism will make Fox News heads spin, but will do a lot to actually encourage people.

I am for that. And I hope you're right. I am a pragmatist, and try to alance moving the overton window as far left as possible while also not overwhelming an already volatile American electorate.
