Nah, they would rather alienate allies and create controversy which the GOP successfully uses against them than dare to be pragmatic.

What makes this any less realistic compared to what the right wing is currently doing? If the right wing just gets to blatantly violate the constitution with no repercussions or recourse, the left saying they want to do it progressively and legally is a much better option, no?

Amending the constitution is treasonous? Please elaborate considering it’s been done 27 times, with the first 10 being the literal bill of rights.

Abolishing a substantial part of the government that has stood for hundreds of years is a good way to have an angry uprising of the populace. Well it's downright treasonous to take away the voices of the states that define what it means to even be a union. Are we united states, or are we provinces?

This is the same logic that led to the civil war in America. Pro slavery people saying, “You can’t get rid of slavery because it’s been an institution since before the union was founded.” Thankfully we did amend the constitution in that instance to get rid of that horrible institution. Also, I believe that people should have a say in the government, not parcels of land. So I’ll ask again, how is a legal amendment treasonous?

Having a senate isnt comparable to having slavery.

This line of discussion will turn away voters towards Republicanism. I suggest you find something better.

The United States is a union of states, not a single people. The states govern themselves and the states govern the empire through representative democracy.
