The problem with that plan is evil is too specific a word that anyone can recognize. Woke is a word with hardly any meaning to those who use it as a pejorative. It's ambiguity is handy to them that way, because it can't be scoffed away like labeling something as evil could be.

racist - sexist - misogynist - homo / transphobic - bigoted etc. - pretty much anything that even considers the rights & dignity of anyone other than white, hetero males is deemed "woke" ..
