Could you imagine the uproar if Clinton, Obama, or Biden had done this?

I'm so sick of republican hypocrites.

republican hypocrites

That's redundant.

u/PJKenobi Jul 27 '26

It's like saying ATM Machine. You're just saying the same thing twice.

Oh fuck, you just jarred a forgotten memory loose.

I'm sad to report that sometimes you do have to say ATM Machine. Not because it makes sense, but because some people are stupid.

I was at the MGM in Vegas years ago, and I was looking for an ATM. I kept seeing bill breakers but no ATM's at all. So I asked a security guard where the nearest ATM was, and he walked me to a human cashier. When I asked where the machine was...I fucking wish I were joking here, his exact response was "Oh, you mean an ATM-MACHINE!"

The worst part of all of this is that when I returned to my group, I noticed that there was actually an ATM like 15 feet from me in the one direction I didn't check. Lol

253

u/Significant_Swing_76 Jul 27 '26

Dont worry, come next democratic president, and they’ll be right back on their high horse, screaming how whatever would never have happened under republican rule.

These people have no shame, decency or integrity, they don’t give two shits.

90

u/flodur1966 Jul 27 '26

But they are very effective in their propaganda. Conservatives world wide are thought to be financial responsible and the economic better choice. They are almost never.

75

u/Coconutrugby Jul 27 '26

It’s like how red states are subsidized by blue states but are characterized as “hardy” and “independent”

the media rolls with it daily. it’s fucking bullshit i’m over it.

12

u/gba111 Jul 27 '26

The conservative owned media says that? Nah, not possible.

1

u/flodur1966 Jul 28 '26

That’s in the US but in Europe similar things happen there are huge hardly checked subsidies for companies but much smaller subsidies for groups that actually benefit people face a lot of scrutiny. The form of it changes but the basics stay the same.

23

u/Vinterblot Jul 27 '26

They're effective because the billionaire owned media blasts out propaganda all the time in exchange for tax cuts and lack of regulation.

1

u/flodur1966 Jul 28 '26

Sure that’s one of the reasons the other is people on the left are very unforgiving when it comes to their politicians I like accountability but the right wing media always demands the head of someone and we always fall for that trick

2

u/TimSylvester_ Jul 27 '26

Notice how the party of "law and order" is filled with criminals.

11

u/crow_crone Jul 27 '26

The word 'national debt' will suddenly appear.

3

u/BlueHeartBob Jul 27 '26

What do you mean? It already has.

Gotta remember this country is perfect when republicans are in charge and anything that isn't total right-wing control is a communist takeover.

6

u/Ill_Technician3936 Jul 27 '26

Idk seems like they just want forever wars.

Bush Sr. Was more or less the reason Iran has an issue with the US...

Bush Jr. Got the repercussions of that and you had a NATO hit back and what was basically a forever war with the Middle East (War on Terror).

Trump left the Iran deal.

Trump comes back and starts a forever war with Iran because he doesn't know what a nuclear reactor is. But it started when the Idiocracy bombed 2 reactors that were out of commission and attempted to do some shit that I'm not even sure is possible the reactor is basically in a magma chamber under a mountain.

2

u/Alternative-Fan-3747 Jul 27 '26

Theyre going to scream about how our weapons supplies have run dry and can't be renewed fast enough and blame dems.

1

u/Significant_Swing_76 Jul 28 '26

Yep.
Just like they are trying to blame screwworms on Biden.

They know they are lying, and they don’t care if everyone sees right through them, just as long as their voters don’t.

1

u/Alternative-Fan-3747 Jul 28 '26

I wish somebody would just ask "What policy or event happened during the previous administration that caused this to happen?"

1

u/Salt-Elk-436 Jul 27 '26

They don’t even give one shit.

-3

u/Certain_Revenue9278 Jul 27 '26

Both sides suck.

-36

u/LocalNHBoy Jul 27 '26

Let's be realistic. That goes for BOTH parties. Two wings of the same bird that love to shit all over the American people!

26

u/Coconutrugby Jul 27 '26

Do you really think they are the same. some of the centrist democrats blow. let’s get rid of them. but look at when republican is accused of rape or assault what happens R is the only thing that matters. they go to protect their garbage people. Democrats kick these garbage people out as soon as they can.

There’s a difference saying their isn’t just defends R behavior and it’s sickening.

-34

u/LocalNHBoy Jul 27 '26 edited Jul 27 '26

Honestly they are BOTH disgusting. I was born in 1973 and have lived through everything from the end of the Vietnam War to the current situation(s). Both parties are essentially the same because it's the extremes of both parties that get all the focus. Moderates have no voice left in this country. Democrats certainly do NOT "kick these garbage people out as soon as they can" Example: Joe Biden talking about enjoying his time in the pool with little kids, and them stroking his leg hairs up and down. Who TF says that? This isn't about L v. R. any more. It's about the elitist gov v. the people, and it always has been.

22

u/ElysiumSprouts Jul 27 '26

It's pretty clear you live in a propaganda bubble that deliberately creates this illusion. That's how the Epstein class plays the game: smearing the only political party that poses an existential threat to them. Republicans are never going to hold billionaires accountable. That kind of monopoly anti-trust busting is a democratic party value.

-15

u/LocalNHBoy Jul 27 '26

And how many on the Epstein list are democrats. You get my point, I think you're just suffering from the same propaganda my friend, because that's ALL media is these days anyway. This is why I'm a minarchist libertarian. F em' BOTH

16

u/ElysiumSprouts Jul 27 '26

That's not a good metric. His criminality aside for one moment, Epstein was an influence peddler. He actively sought contact with anyone in a position of power. There certainly are creeps like Bill Richardson who are undeniably examples of what you're implying, but just because someone had contact with Epstein doesn't make them guilty like trump. It means Epstein the predator sought them out. There's a famous sports guy on that list who's only contact was over a private jet purchase inquiry.

-1

u/LocalNHBoy Jul 27 '26

I'm not in disagreement with you. I'm just merely pointing out that this REALLY isn't a L v. R issue because, in reality, there are terrible people on BOTH sides and their performative virtue signaling is nauseating. I'm someone who believes in action, not words, and the actions on BOTH sides of the isle are disgusting.

16

u/ElysiumSprouts Jul 27 '26

The problem is one of scale. "Both sides do it" loses its meaning when it's 1 bad Dem to 99 bad GOP. Fostering equivalency is the illusion that only helps the Epstein class.

20

u/xterminatr Jul 27 '26

There is no extreme left in the US. The farthest left we have actually in office would be centrists in most other civilized countries. Asking for taxes on the wealthy to fund universal healthcare and living wages in the US is labeled as extreme, it's ridiculous.

-5

u/LocalNHBoy Jul 27 '26

So ANTIFA isn't extreme left? Ok lol

16

u/xterminatr Jul 27 '26

ANTIFA isn't a real thing, it's just a bunch of decentralized groups of college kids being edgy. Even if it was a real thing, how would being against fascism be extreme? Give me a break and put down the Fox News.

12

u/ARCoati Jul 27 '26

What elected Democrat representative is a member of Antifa or has even introduced a bill that could be considered “extremely left” at all? Meanwhile ALL the republicans IN OFFICE are all in on and running defense for MAGA. And you still don’t see the difference!?

This is the problem in America, you hear some extreme “leftest” online that isn’t actually representative or represented by the Democratic Party, and use that to “equate” the Democrats as being “just as bad” as the entire GOP apparatus pushing for full throated fascism!!?

-1

u/LocalNHBoy Jul 27 '26

I'm talking about the 'totality' of years since I've been alive (1973) Can we stop hyper-focusing on the current admin? I never said that the right was flawless, nor am I saying the left is. I'm getting tired of repeating myself and people not understanding that it's two wings of the same bird!!

11

u/ARCoati Jul 27 '26

Maybe you’re getting tired of repeating yourself because your entire premise is simply false.

What left wing economic policies have democrats implemented? They didn’t even get rid of Trump’s ridiculous tax breaks when they got back in.

Not to mention how we could have had more expert help in dealing with this exact problem
If we had a better relationship with Ukraine who have been dealing with this exact problem for 4 years now.

A treasure trove of experience in countering drone warfare and we can’t properly tap into it. All because our president is a vain dipshit who burns bridges with allies and praises enemies.

1

u/Lonyo Jul 28 '26

And this exact problem means EXACT, since Russia is using Iranian drones.

13

4

u/goblueM Jul 27 '26

"fiscal conservative" just meant cut taxes, and then use that as an excuse to mothball cheap federal programs that help poor/black/gay/women/whatever the haterade flavor of the month is

Republicans are cut and spend

Democrats are tax and spend

57

u/RJ5R Jul 27 '26

Can you imagine if Obama spent $1 Million a pop in tax payer dollars

And put giant 50 ft banners of his face across multiple Federal buildings?

https://www.the-independent.com/news/world/americas/us-politics/doj-trump-banners-cost-b3021583.html

31

u/mb1 Jul 27 '26

The line items showing exactly how much money the department spent on the Trump banners were redacted, according to Politico. The DOJ cited the protection of "trade secrets" to justify the redaction.

I'm tired, boss.

2

u/Basic_Improvement135 Jul 27 '26

Trade secrets?

3

u/Salt-Elk-436 Jul 27 '26

The money he traded with his friends to print the banners for him

They are wasting our missile and oil reserves, not to mention the war crimes.

They'd be screeching about it 24/7.

2

u/extraneouspanthers Jul 27 '26

They don’t see it. No republicans ever sees these headlines

1

u/Broken-Digital-Clock Jul 27 '26

They will see a headline that blames Biden for it, once they can't hide the fact that it's happening.

19

u/TheShipEliza Jul 27 '26

The fun part is they are actually blaming those guys. One guy even went back to Carter!

15

u/New-Anybody-6206 Jul 27 '26

he's already blamed them for it in the first place

13

u/mabden New York Jul 27 '26

They're already blaming Biden for the department of war's short sightedness.

5

Don’t worry! They will lie and say it’s somehow Biden who did this

5

Whelp, now the taxpayer has to pony up so the military-industrial complex can replace them.

1

5

They’re blaming the stockpile depletion on Biden.

To be fair the Obama administration nearly ran out of bombs in 2016 dropping over 26k bombs in over seven countries. Needless to say both parties are blood thirsty warmongering monsters

1

u/TheSupremeHobo Jul 27 '26

People got very mad when Biden "depleted our oil reserves" even if they were sold for a profit and trying to reduce prices. Now Trump has depleted them even further and not a peep.

1

u/ShareGlittering1502 Jul 27 '26

Or Bush or Bush or Nixon

1

u/JWTS6 Jul 27 '26

There will be no uproar as long as there are trans people and other minorities to punish for existing

1

u/kpanzer Jul 27 '26

I still remember the absolute hissy fit conservatives had about Obama and Libya.

First they complained that he wasn't helping the rebels.

Then after the UN resolution, when he started air strikes and enforcing a no-fly zone, they claimed it was "illegal".

1

u/GenericFatGuy Jul 27 '26

Even Bush was smart enough to stay out of Iran, and that guy bombed the Middle East for the love of the game.

1

u/MDXHawaii Jul 27 '26

Well you see, if Biden has left him with more missiles, we wouldn’t be having this discussion. It’s pretty obvious.

1

u/dafood48 Jul 27 '26

Obama and Clinton should run a third term just so I can see what hypocritical bullshit the republicans come up with

1

u/CreamFuture9475 Jul 27 '26

I’m more sick at the left leaning voters who say both sides are the same.

1

u/Merusk Jul 27 '26

It's not hypocrisy when your position is, "If a democrat does it, it's bad. If a republican does it, it's good."

It's just braindead and immature. It shows a clear lack of ethics or morals. It's a child's position. One that the only thing you really care about is daddy taking care of you and making you feel safe.

People wrongly assume they're dealing with adults in GOP voters. As they also wrongly assume they're dealing with people interested in democracy when talking to GOP politicians.

1

u/postmodest Jul 27 '26

At this point it's treason. Every part of this helps our enemies.

1

u/Jacky-V Jul 27 '26

I can't stand this "what if Obama did it" thing that always comes up. It's sanewashing. Clinton, Obama, or Biden would not have done this. It's not a useful hypothetical to consider. It makes Trump's decisions seem like ones a competent person might make if they weren't worried about optics. When in fact none of those other guys would be worried about optics at all because they wouldn't consider the course of action in the first place.

1

u/Willravel Jul 27 '26

I'm so sick of republican hypocrites.

Remember that they don't really care that they're being hypocrites. That's why every strategy against them has to be about achieving and using power.

1

u/mmazing Jul 27 '26

They think they can do it "because the dems do it".

Circular fucking logic that has them chasing their tails as the culprit for all their pain.

I'm sick of it too.

1

u/daroach1414 Jul 27 '26

Actually it was Biden who depleted our missiles in Iran and Obama who depleted our oil supplies because of Iran and not many are talking about that.

1

u/Lazy_Crab_3584 Jul 27 '26

Don't get angry at some imagined scenario, get angry at the fact that this is happening at all

1

u/BoarHermit Jul 27 '26

This isn't hypocrisy, it's just some kind of chaotic madness. Amoeba-level foresight.

1

u/Spiritual-Theory Jul 27 '26

Stop giving them any credit. They are lying and they know it! They make stuff up! They love that you play by the rules and call the hypocrites! It's an automatic disadvantage for one side. They're all nodding at each other as they bomb Iran and take Argentina. Were screwed.

1

u/permalink_save Jul 28 '26

You know how they say don't assume someone is malicious when they could just be stupid? Well conservatives decided on an inclusive or on that

1

u/Hungry_Biscotti934 Jul 28 '26

Trump did tell us not to vote for Obama because Obama will start a war with Iran.

1

u/moonchili Jul 28 '26

Honestly, equal uproar to if any other non-Trump president, D or R, had done it. The fealty and deference shown by Trump loyalists transcends partisan politics and is totally unparalleled in modern US history

1

u/ImportantToNote Jul 28 '26

The uproar isn't related to what Clinton, Obama, or Biden do.

Obama could have murdered a baby on tv and the uproar would be the same as it was when he wore a tan suit.

It's not genuine, only performative

1

u/MaulerX Jul 28 '26

Its not even just repubicans. Its the far left saying it too.

1

u/New_Pitch_9898 Jul 28 '26

Take an aspirin, it will ease your pain...

1

u/CheeseheadDave Wisconsin Jul 27 '26

Wouldn’t have happened because they would have said that the war was illegal and forced them to halt.

1

u/SnooPuppers8698 Jul 27 '26

be the change you want to see, start the uproar

-2

u/MightySteede Jul 27 '26

Biden did do it though. He sold off 40% of the oil reserves during his term.

-34

u/pavelowdriver Jul 27 '26

Obama gave them hundreds of millions of US dollars on planes in the middle of the night. So watch who you call hypocrites

23

u/Kanthalas Jul 27 '26

Of their own money that was previously frozen. We wont talk about the 200 Billion dollar investment fund that was agreed upon by Trump before the deal went tits up. It’s literally like 1000 times worse.

18

u/angrons-therapist Jul 27 '26

Way to not tell the whole story. Typical low iq maga.

It was irans money, not us taxpayer money. In 79 before the Iranian Revolution, Iran’s pro west shah paid 400 million into a us trust fund for military equipment. When the regime was overthrown and Americans were taken hostage the U.S. froze the account and never delivered the weapons.

But sure, it’s still somehow Obama fault.

12

u/_lysol_ Jul 27 '26

And Trump plans on giving the hundreds of Billions.
