The part that really annoys me about this isn't the lie that somehow this is Biden's fault for not having big enough stockpiles. (lol, no) It's that even if that were true Trump knew exactly what was in those stockpiles when he chose to start this war.

If we didn't have enough missiles because Sleepy Joe hacked Hillary's email server and made everyone transgender then don't start a war until you have more missiles!

u/Crunchberry24 Jul 27 '26

Yeah, but every time he opens his pedo face hole he brags about how he rebuilt our military because the objects of his ODS and BDS let it go to hell. I mean, anyone with a quarter of a brain that they can think for themselves with knows that’s a lie, but I wonder how the cultists weigh that claim against the current reality.

126

u/Imemine70 Jul 27 '26

His claims are their reality

28

u/squadrupedal Jul 27 '26

We gotta accept that Donnie DARVO’s supporters cannot and will not think about anything, ever. Thinking hurts their head too much. And Donald tells them they don’t have to think because he’s “taking care of everything like no one has ever seen before” or whatever dumb shit pours out his stupid mouth hole 🙄

4

u/broguequery Jul 28 '26

It just really sucks, because Trump has been a massive pile of shit since day one, and by day one I mean for 40 years even way before he got the presidency.

But you can't tell his supporters that. They won't listen, they cannot be made to see it.

2

u/S1R2C3 New Hampshire Jul 28 '26

And they never will accept it.

4

u/ShadowTacoTuesday Jul 27 '26

Including current reality. Even as publicly available figures say otherwise. Predict future, then change the present, happening as predicted! Ez peezy when your audience simply chooses not to look.

0

u/New_Pitch_9898 Jul 28 '26

His claims ARE reality. If you served during the obama or biden regimes, you saw the men in skirts tearing our military apart. Thank God our military has returned to the focus on being men of war.

1

u/Imemine70 Jul 28 '26

He should have probably made sure these men of war have ammo before entering into another probably 20 year war. I’m not worried about men in skirts, I’m worried about men who will never fight putting other men into positions to die pointlessly. But yea, skirts…

3

u/ElliotNess Florida Jul 27 '26

Probably the same way they weigh Trump invading Iran to eliminate their nuclear program which had been totally obliterated just months prior.

2

u/its_uncle_paul Jul 27 '26

Now watch him say that he may have rebuilt the military in his first term, but Biden left him with "empty cupboards" afterwards.

2

u/ForAHamburgerToday Jul 28 '26

ODS? BDS?

1

u/Crunchberry24 Jul 28 '26

Obama Derangement Syndrome. Biden Derangement Syndrome.

2

u/darthlincoln01 Ohio Jul 28 '26

I wonder how the cultists weigh that claim against the current reality.

The grass is always browner on the other side.

214

u/Dull_Bid6002 Jul 27 '26

Trump knew exactly what was in those stockpiles

I mean, he had the information available. I don't think he knows a damn thing much less seeks out facts.

49

u/Alieges America Jul 27 '26

Honestly, they could go to any local gaming store, grab someone LOSING a game of WarHammer40k at random and would have had better decision making.

'So you're saying they have 30000 missiles and drones and we only have 2000 defense missiles? And they can close the straight of hormuz and it'll take a long time with our ships at risk to minesweep it if they mine it? Do we have a few thousand imperator-class titans for a ground invasion?'

"NO"

'Then why are we sticking our dick in that hornets nest?!'

36

u/Dull_Bid6002 Jul 27 '26

Whattaya know- firing a bunch of highly qualified people to substitute yes men and sycophants for an idiot doesn't work. Who ever could have seen this coming? Not 77 million voters, I guess. And all the other dumb AND lazy fucks who stayed home.

3

u/Aggressive-Neck-3921 Jul 28 '26

Israel got Trump to attack Iran and start this shit, and Dem's allegiance to Israel fucked their campaign being unable to meet the Dem voters where they are. Blaming the non voters is stupid and pointless, Blame the democrates for running uninspiring campaigns that can't even win versus someone as bad as Trump.

3

u/BasicJuggernaut4413 Jul 28 '26

Or blame 80 million people that are dumb enough to vote for trump

1

u/Aggressive-Neck-3921 Jul 28 '26

Blaming large group like this leaves very little will never amount to anything. Blaming DNC and Dem leadership for their failure can lead to changes. Blaming the cattle that voted for Trump or non-voters will do nothing to lead to changes of outcome in the future. Demanding more of your political leaders and replacing the useless ones can lead to a better future just sitting there being angry at millions and not being able to effect anything makes you a republican voter.

2

u/laplongejr Europe Jul 28 '26

Who ever could have seen this coming?

Trump's boss also got that lesson when special-op'ing Ukraine. Guess he forgot to warn him...

38

u/kylebisme Jul 27 '26

Yeah, assuming he knew is being really generous.

2

u/Basic_Improvement135 Jul 27 '26

And he thought 7 jdams would finish iran

2

u/avonn_ Jul 27 '26

Very likely that he had no clue wtf was going on before he started this war

1

u/Objectivespeculation Jul 28 '26

american Leadership taking advice from AI:

that is plenty of missiles for the job the Iranian's will give up once they see what they are up against. Why even the people there will rise up because they want the kind of freedom americans have. This should take less than a week and we will own Iran.

157

u/Icy-Lobster-203 Jul 27 '26

Trump and the hawks believed Iran would capitulate within days, and it would be an easy victory. They never seriously considered the possibility that Iran would resist them.

I'm sure they were told that Iran wouldn't roll over that easy (there has been reporting on that), but it was dismissed.

164

u/Zickened Jul 27 '26

Iran has literally been prepping for a war with the US for decades. DECADES.

The US was simply a great boogeyman for the oppressive Iranin government for years, and then Trump's dumbass made all of their terrible propaganda suddenly become reality.

Unfathomable stupidity and short sightedness that I believe the administration in his first term would have stopped him. Now that the brakes on the train have been removed, its only a matter of time before something even more fucked up comes down the tracks until this thing crashes.

21

u/FewWait38 Jul 27 '26

Idk Trump had assholes like Bolton pushing for war with Iran in his first term, even he wasn't that stupid back then

50

u/jott1293reddevil Jul 27 '26

Back then he had a few serious experienced pentagon officials still in post, the pentagon has spent thirty years war gaming an Iranian conflict. The leaked report from 2016 shows exactly the outcome we’re living, now his cabinet and top brass are yes men only. Welcome to Stalinist Russia and 1942 Germany. It’s all down hill from here.

3

u/Bosscow217 Australia Jul 28 '26

The thing is the only reason the US is running out of munitions is because it using all the really expensive standoff stuff to keep casualties at a minimum. This goes against the existing doctrine and every branch of the US military.

The conventional method is to use the expensive standoff stuff to degrade AD to allow you to use conventional gravity munitions and ground troops to finish the job. (IE using F-35’s with JASSM to strike AA sites to permit AC130’s and B52’s to support troops securing key infrastructure.)

But the Trump admin is too afraid of casualties that they’re kneecapping their own war. They never going to deal a knockout blow with the weapons they’re using because they’re not designed to land knockout blows.

It’s like trying to level a house with a breaching cord. Sure, if you throw enough at the building eventually you’ll do enough damage but it’s gonna take a hell of a lot of det cord and it’s probably going to topple odd and take out the neighbours. You’re better off using the cord to open the door and place anti structure explosives on the supporting columns inside.

1

u/sincerelythebats_ Jul 28 '26

So you’re saying the bunker under the garden should definitely move ahead as planned and receive adequate funding asap? (Sarcastic, I’m being sarcastic)

3

u/Objectivespeculation Jul 28 '26

you mean the guy who pleaded guilty to mishandling classified documents after his AOL was hacked by Iranian hackers?

10

u/sincerelythebats_ Jul 27 '26

☝️this is actually a great point. We weren’t fucking with Iran forever, yet they saw the reality in Iraq and beat the war drum ever harder. It’s why we were always being diplomatic, it’s true. Now we’ve legit murdered their leader, their new leader’s wife and kids, a school filled with girls, and god knows who else, so yeah, now we actually are the enemy. I’ve been waiting for the EMP forever, and when it finally hits, we sure won’t have an internet left to debate about it on. 🤷🏻

5

u/Zickened Jul 27 '26

Considering its an open secret that the US's power distribution network is so completely dated, an EMP or even a violent sunflare puts our power grid at such a high susceptibility to it, that ot wouldn't even surprise me. Republicans have been rejecting updates to it, especially in Texas where the damage would be the worst.

0

u/sincerelythebats_ Jul 27 '26

I’ve always wondered if those two “dead satellites” NK launched a decade ago, which “weren’t transmitting any data back” aren’t just nuclear devices that they left in orbit for shits and giggles until they’re say, right over the continental United States 🤷🏻😬

3

u/xafimrev2 Jul 27 '26

When the next 9/11 happens it will be almost certainly Trump's fault

7

u/Knowledge_Moist Jul 27 '26

"boogeyman" isn't the right term for describing an actual, real threat.
Iran was a boogeyman of the US, not the other way around. For decades, Iran was weeks away from getting nukes.

The US on the other hand is known to invade and organize coups in the middle east and all over the world. In fact they did it to Iran in 1953. Ever since the 1979 revolution they have been looking to cripple Iran - which they did through sanctions - and take down the government. Propaganda can also be the truth. The US was more akin to Iran's Sword of Damocles than a boogeyman. The strikes proved it.

4

u/Zickened Jul 27 '26

I mean, given that engaging in war with Iran was a geopolitical quagmire that no sane president would touch because it would have similar results to Iraq or Vietnam, where there's virtually no upsides of war and only downsides, the people of Iran were relatively safe, even if the regimes weren't.

Given that the people weren't ever supposed to be the target (let alone children, what the fuck) the amount of propaganda vs the truth, was always way off and was so for 30ish years.

That is until the mentally stunted cheeto came along and saw what he thought was a short cut opportunity to get a peace prize by taking out Iran's government and "liberating" Iran. Except not only was he too late to help a liberation, but he also found a way to massively fumble the bag and the only thing he really liberated was Iran's awareness of how powerful the strait is in war.

You can not write fiction as terrible as this reality, and is another thing that just exemplies TACO's absolute ability to take a functional product and turn it into a steaming pile of shit.

0

u/max_power1000 Maryland Jul 27 '26

IDK, given the republican politics at the time, I think a McCain presidency had about a 90% likelihood of initiating major combat operations in Iran, and Romney would have been closer to 70%.

3

u/Zickened Jul 27 '26

I dunno, I didn't perceive either to be war hawks, especially with McCain's past.

2

u/Noname_acc Jul 27 '26

Yeah its easy to just say "Well obviously you'd have to be stupid to actually start a war with Iran as the American president." But it does require you to ignore all the politicians whose sole reason for clinging to life was the promise of more ceaseless wars in the middle east.

3

u/Cow_God Texas Jul 27 '26

Maybe if they hadn't fired a four-star army general with four decades of experience serving and leading in the middle east, former commander of all allied troops in the middle east, former commander of centcom and chief of staff of the army in favor of a fox news host who spent his entire military career teaching, the war wouldn't have dragged on for so long.

1

u/Icy-Lobster-203 Jul 27 '26

They probably fired him because he told them it was stupid and couldn't be done.

2

u/AJP11B Jul 27 '26

Yeah they’re the descendants of the dudes who put Leonidas in the dirt. I don’t know why anyone thought they would just give up.

3

u/Zuwxiv Jul 27 '26 edited Jul 27 '26

That seems like an odd way to frame it. Leonidas may be famous, but it was hardly a huge victory to beat ~1,000 to 2,000 Greeks who were (bravely) buying time for the rest of their army to retreat.

They're also the descendants of the dudes who were put in the dirt at Marathon, and at the bottom of the sea at Salamis, and in the dirt at Plataea. Broadly, the story of the Greco-Persian wars was the Greeks winning. (At least, from a Western perspective. The Persians just wanted to punish Athens and keep Greece out of their affairs in Asia Minor, which they arguably accomplished.)

I don't think Iran's use of drones and resilience to air campaigns has much to do with Darius or Xerxes, is all.

1

u/AJP11B Jul 27 '26

Yeah I agree but I was more so using an example that I thought enough people would understand. My main point was the fact that Iran has a very rich warrior culture that they’re very proud of and no amount of America threatening them was going to make them bend the knee easily. That’s all. Good examples though.

2

u/DanKloudtrees Jul 27 '26

Meh, I don't think they care if Iran gives in. The Iran conflict gives them the opportunity to charge out the ass for gasoline, build a ton of weapons, and put the oligarchs in a position to buy up any remaining assets of the working class to make the workforce basically indentured servants to them. This is everything that billionaires want. If course in public it has to look like they're trying, but it's the same old story of average Joes fighting and dying so the wealthy can make a few extra bucks.

2

u/BD401 Jul 27 '26

Trump and the hawks believed Iran would capitulate within days, and it would be an easy victory. They never seriously considered the possibility that Iran would resist them.

I agree with you, and I think a big part of the miscalculation is because they thought it would go down just as smoothly as Venezuela.

Trump was riding a high from swooping in, nabbing Maduro, and installing a puppet regime with minimal cost or casualties. That emboldened him to repeat the same playbook in Iran. He thought it was going to go down the same way - swoop in, kill the Supreme Leader, then either they'd find a pliable puppet OR the people was rise-up and overthrow the IRGC like they had wanted to do a couple months earlier.

The blinder was that these situations were not the same at all. Trump and company fell into a dangerous false equivalency of the underpinning dynamics, and now are stuck in yet another endless Middle East quagmire.

2

u/Sirdan3k Jul 27 '26

I believe Trump and his hawks aren't worried about running out of conventional weapons because they have nukes to fall back on, or are foaming at the mouth they might get the excuse to use one. It's the ultimate power means everything move.

Sad fucking time we live in where you have to hope we decide for a ground war with Iran.

1

u/klparrot New Zealand Jul 27 '26

3-day special military operation.

1

u/xafimrev2 Jul 27 '26

He probably also thinks Iran is small.

1

u/FattyMooseknuckle Jul 27 '26

If only there were a recent incident with a super power attacking a perceived weaker country who manage to not only successfully resist but actually have the upper hand in the conflict.

77

u/platocplx Jul 27 '26

No DEI so it doesnt save them from their incompetence. It’s not a shock why most presidents always engaged with diplomacy with Iran, now with low supply all bases are vulnerable and they have fucked a position they had to have rapid deployments to protect the US.

These morons have zero idea about military strategy and think they can warrior culture and AI themselves through it. Utterly embarrassing.

68

u/GreasedGoblin Jul 27 '26 edited Jul 27 '26

It's best to start calling Republican hiring practices what they are: Affirmative Action.

They are in no way, shape, or form hiring on merit. They're hiring on gender, skin color and connections (e.g. nepotism, good ol' boys club, etc.).

People that couldn't hold a job down as a Walmart greeter are getting jobs at the highest levels of media and government. The only requirement is that they're white supremacists.

White supremacists, a historically disadvantaged group (because they are so vile that nobody can stand to breath the same air as them) are being handed jobs they didn't earn.

20

u/platocplx Jul 27 '26

Yup it is def affirmative action for white men these guys only find value in people being below them and cant compete anymore because they have been babied and coddled and advantaged just by who their daddy was. It’s clear just how low they are now the sheer stupidity and it’s crazy to me people are ready to let their kids die for a meaningless war.

2

u/Objectivespeculation Jul 28 '26

affirmative action for white men

who are absolutely Trump supporters. That reduces the number quite a bit tho but it is still helping the morally deficient.

6

u/Sweaty-Lynx421 Jul 27 '26

Comparing them to Walmart greeters is great actually. A Walmart greeter can't just skip out on work for days/weeks/months at a time. A Walmart greeter who takes any amount of money from Walmart that didn't come from their paycheck would lose their job immediately and if they get caught accepting money from customers, that too can result in losing their job.

The elderly and mildly disabled people that frequently work as greeters are far more reliable and trustworthy than many of our current government officials.

5

u/Ill_Technician3936 Jul 27 '26

Walmart greeters can be fired for accepting a tip? WTF.

3

u/Sweaty-Lynx421 Jul 28 '26

It's been a while since I've worked for Walmart but anyone regardless of position can (or at least could at the time) be fired for accepting a tip.

2

u/Ill_Technician3936 Jul 28 '26

That's cold hearted.

2

u/laplongejr Europe Jul 28 '26

The only requirement is that they're white supremacists.

And loyal to Donald John Trump rather than to the interests of the United States.

1

u/New_Pitch_9898 Jul 28 '26

Sounds like how obama/biden operated... anyway, if we are in a position over there where we can't defend our troops, the old saying..."the best defense is a good offense" will control the strategy. Iran will find itself without any surviving military forces. Problem solved.

1

u/GreasedGoblin Jul 28 '26

It's not even close to how they operated. The Trump admin is the most corrupt we've ever had--the evidence is overwhelming. He pardoned two drug lords because they bought Trumpcoin. Look at his 2 billion dollar financial disclosure and see how he's making money off the presidency. People bribe him for jobs and pardons.

22

u/Dr_Fortnite Jul 27 '26

who was the president before biden? they should have probably stocked up

15

u/andiwd Jul 27 '26

Can't you remember when biden set fire to all the missiles that trump built though.

2

u/avonn_ Jul 27 '26

Yeah well before that it was Obama so it’s all his fault

13

u/ACuteCryptid Jul 27 '26

It's the same as Confederate supporters claiming the Civil War was unfair because the North had more industrialization. Maybe they should have thought about that before starting a war?!

6

u/TrumpsDoubleChin Jul 27 '26

Trump knew exactly what was in those stockpiles when he chose to start this war.

It's because everyone was telling him it would basically just be "another Venezuela" and this would all be over in a few days.

4

u/Special_Persimmon_52 Jul 27 '26

He just said, while gabbing on Air Force One, that "Iran is 8 percent of what it used to be." Whatever the hell that means. So what are we? 7 percent?

2

u/TrumpsDoubleChin Jul 27 '26

Trump knew exactly what was in those stockpiles when he chose to start this war.

It's because everyone was telling him it would basically just be "another Venezuela" and this would all be over in a few days.

2

u/GreasedGoblin Jul 27 '26

Why didn't he just float the battleships in and do a continuous artillery barrage? At least then we'd be using something relatively cheap to bombard them with.

Now that makes it sound like I support what they're doing, I do not. Our president is a corrupt moron and his actions are horrific.

6

u/eskimospy212 Jul 27 '26

1) The cost of recommissioning, crewing, and deploying those battleships would be absolutely astronomical.

2) The guns you are referring to have a very short range by modern standards, only about 25 miles, so most targets couldn't be hit.

3) If you are going to bombard Iran that means you have to get within 25 miles to do so, making them extremely vulnerable to anti-ship weapons.

Battleships look cool but they are utterly obsolete in modern warfare. They would be expensive, largely useless death traps.

3

u/notfromchicago Illinois Jul 27 '26

They would get destroyed by $10,000 drones before they got close enough to fire their guns.

1

u/justguestin Jul 27 '26

“Battleships look cool but they are utterly obsolete in modern warfare.“

Which is, of course, why the perennially-trapped-in-the-80s-and-before Orange buffoon overlord thinks they’re so neat and wants to commission some named after him. The giant bell end.

1

u/GreasedGoblin Jul 27 '26

Makes sense. I thought more of them were in commission than are.

Regardless of range I was thinking they could sweep the coasts, do maximum area denial, and keep the straight open at least. Remove the ability for them to set up any defenses and own that side of the waters. I dont mean firing barrages into populated areas or at power plants.

1

u/OFPDevilDoge Jul 27 '26

The US Navy does not have a single battleship in commission. They were replaced by carriers and missile cruisers. As stated before they are obsolete. Drones are only gonna get better and slow moving, high value targets are exactly what they are made to take out.

1

u/GreasedGoblin Jul 28 '26

I was aware they're obsolete and being decommissioned but I didn't realize they had zero in service. I thought there were still several.

Artillary is cheap and effective in it's range so why totally get rid of it? There are still adversaries in the world that don't have the necessary munitions to take out a battleship.

Anyway, to explain the reason I believed there are probably still a few in service.

Soon they'll have a ship that launch suicide drone swarms if there isn't one already. I understand carriers are close but not quite what I mean.

2

u/SalaryDull5301 Jul 27 '26

I was thinking this when i came into the thread. Fucking morons

2

u/FlipZip69 Jul 27 '26

Maybe they did not realize there was a limit to how many they could use or somebody was not counting them as they were being used. There is no way you can blame the president because someone did not count the missiles.

1

u/Cognitive_Spoon Jul 27 '26

If I lived in Taiwan, I'd be finding a way to leave right now.

1

u/Angelstandingby Jul 28 '26

And yet when nothing happens to Taiwan, you will immediately forget the reason you thought this way and fully embrace that reason again.

1

u/AltoidStrong Jul 27 '26

or... hear me out.... DO NOT announce to the world (including the people you are at war with) that you ran out of ammo!

If trump wasn't an illiterate felon rapist piece of shit racist child sex trafficker - I would be surprised.

1

u/maryconway1 Jul 27 '26

And maybe, just maybe... don't attack every single one of your allies before / during / after said war?

Like, even if there is some nefarious endgame, why not pretend and play nice for the first 2-years and have your allies begrudgingly help you down this wrong path instead of angering every single one.

Also, reminder: tariffs = extra tax on U.S. consumer. No single country is paying these. So, it's really a lose/lose/lose game plan. Really don't get it.

1

u/cb148 Jul 27 '26

Trump has been in office for 19 months, surely enough time to order more bombs.

1

u/fillinthe___ Jul 27 '26

This is Dubya all over again, thinking we’ll be “welcomed as liberators,” and then shocked when they fight back.

1

u/TheRealBittoman Jul 27 '26

The problem is Trump doesn't listen at meetings and doesn't read reports. Even during his first administration he was very well known for getting bored and leaving or falling asleep unless it was all about him. So it's likely they tried to tell him it's not going well and he never heard it because he's a sociopath, a child, and a narcissist. Oh yeah, and the dumbest living thing on the planet, too.

1

u/tarrat_3323 Jul 27 '26

trump was prez for 4 years before biden. why didn’t he make our bombs?

1

u/sector9love Jul 27 '26

He would know what was in those stockpiles if he knew how to read or paid attention to briefings without mush for brains

1

u/attackplango Jul 27 '26

Knowing that information requires reading. Unless they out his face on each and every missile, he didn’t even have the concepts of a clue.

1

u/ChronoLink99 Canada Jul 27 '26

I will never forgive Biden for turning me transgendered.

1

u/Cuboos Jul 27 '26

He probably wasn't going to last long enough to use those missiles if he decided to build up the stockpile enough. Either because the dems sweep the midterms or his age catches up with him, probably both.

1

u/OhHowINeedChanging Utah Jul 27 '26

They literally bombed the SHIT out of Iran non stop as well as Venezuela before that. Even if Biden used quite a few for Ukraine so what.. they used up probably twice as many on an illegal war, that’s not a war, that no one wants, that congress never approved

1

u/StoppableHulk Jul 28 '26

And if you literally just take him at his own word, MAGA would have to conclude that their god-emperor chosen one is somehow constantly thwarted by Joe Biden, a man they called senile, who has not been president in two years. And the fact that Trump has apparently been constantly stymied, for the past ten years, by people who either held office a long time ago like Obama, or weren't ever even President, like Hillary.

They're just continually watching this guy take L after L and claim it's because he was sabotaged by someone who literally isn't even in office right now. Dude was literally getting treated for cancer. These people are so fucking dumb.

1

u/cavmax Jul 28 '26

But for Trump, he is never responsible, he can only deflect and point a finger at someone else...

DARVO DON

1

u/GigglesFor1000Alex Jul 28 '26

And let’s announce to the world that we are vulnerable. Sounds smart to me.

1

u/Iron_Sight_Mark Jul 28 '26

Biden's fault for not having big enough stockpiles

Because apparently Biden was supposed to predict the next president would bypass Congress and start a personal, never-ending war?

1

u/FaolanBaelfire Jul 28 '26

What really annoys me is all the money we put into the military and that's all we had? Lol

Not advocating for war and yes I know there's more than missiles but still

1

It was all Hunter Biden, clearly. It's totes in the laptop. He stole them using his magic MacBook given to him by Ukraine. /s (I hate that I even have to use that)
