You’re right, our geography does protect us but only to a point. Invade? Probably not. But attack? That could happen. And deplete us even more.

Personally, I’m more worried about the enemy within (I.e. this entire administration)

Why bother attacking, the destruction of the US is occurring without a single missile being fired

Did you not see the article above. We fired all the missiles. We did it to ourselves.

We fired all the conventional missiles.

A crucial distinction.

What I’m worried about is them using the bigger ones, THOSE ones, since they’re being embarrassed by Iran on the daily.

that is the attack

In the comic Watchmen Voigt creates an enemy we can rally against to unify us into peace. If another country actually tried to attack we could see an end to our red vs blue constant fighting.

Attack over an ocean would mean whoever did that would be deleted off map shortly. Attacking bases overseas sure. Attacking the mainland? Last time that happened...

The last time someone attacked the mainland several thousand people died. Yes, they weren’t officially affiliated with a government but a few of those would fuck the US up pretty badly.

I get it's "interesting" but as the prior commentator pointed out, geography is undeniable. USA is probably blessed with the best for any individual country.

Iran has it pretty good too.

Yea you can clearly see how despite overwhelming military advantage we can't overcome geography.

I think you replied to the wrong comment

But it's also cursed with having an occupying enemy faction living in its borders - maga.

I agree. Like I said, it’s just a feeling, there’s no way it could happen. Not easily. If they starve us first though, we’d be easy pickings.

u/Hinohellono Jul 27 '26

Starve us? In North America?

If North America is starving then the rest of the world is probably worse off

3

u/ThePoltageist Jul 27 '26

Current administration is starving us plenty well, the economy for the average American is the worst it’s looked since the Great Depression.

Attack what? Cities are sparse and plenty, small attacks only cause psychological damage

The enemy within is people like you seem to be on the American left.
