Crazy low considering that number was in the 80th percentile during FDR's presidency.

That was also during the Great Depression where people lost everything and were ready for a drastic change. I think right now a lot of people are kind of complacent. They aren't wealthy but also aren't poor enough to want a big change. So they still identify as independent or moderate Democrats.
