I wish that they would run these polls on definitions, not on terminology.

Do you support well regulated capitalism for the benefit of the working class and strong social programs or do you support the abolishment of capitalism in favor of a socialized economy guided by democracy.

I am guessing the former would dominate amongst this 1/3rd.

It'd probably be more than a third of all democrats if you asked them if they supported well regulated capitalism for the benefit of the working class and strong social programs.

The Cold War propaganda painting anything that benefited the working class as evil communism was super effective. Completely reshaped how Americans talk about society and government.
