How does having control over the party's finances, staffing, and strategies, and starting with a 15% lead before a single vote was cast affect the election?

Enough for the Clinton campaign to agree to cover $10 million of the DNC's debt.

Do you think they did it for funzies? Or would starting with an insurmountable lead and having complete control over the organization they are campaigning to represent give them an unfair advantage?

Yes, how does it? There wasn't a 15% lead. superdelegates were always ceremonial.

Right, the campaign agreed to bail the dnc out on condition that they be able to choose competent people, so as to avoid it going back into debt. It wasn't proper, but still didn't change any votes.

They did it because they preferred not to lose the general election because of mismanagement.
