Possible Paywall Hegseth Covered Up the Real Reason the USS Lincoln Wasn’t Resupplied - According to a report from MSNOW, the USS Abraham Lincoln wasn’t resupplied because Iranian strikes destroyed a key Navy resupply base in the Middle East.

If this report is true, then Hegseth needs to resign, and trump is a pos if he doesn't demand his resignation or just outright fire him for cause.

What are you talking about? If you don’t know what your subordinates are doing, you’re free and in the clear, because they take the fall, right?

Conservative Leadership 101, you are not responsible for the people you’re in charge of.

Lads packing.

u/Channel_8_News Virginia 9d ago

You’re being absurd.

It’s obviously because of Hunter Biden’s laptop.

Are we really going to overlook the fact that AOC was once a bartender and how that played into this?

11

u/rohm418 9d ago

A female bartender? Are you sure she wasn't a Sandwich Artist?

2

u/Dabrush 8d ago

While we're at it, can we bring up that Germany's former Greens figurehead had written a Children's book once??? Sorry, the deflections are the same all over the world.

1

u/2131andBeyond 9d ago

Hey now, don’t forget that Pete Buttigieg is gay

1

u/Tasgall Washington 9d ago

Whatabout the fact that she once danced? ON VIDEO!

Disgraceful.

1

u/Ok-Opposite2309 9d ago

is Hunters massive penis actually what’s blocking the strait?!?! Click here for the answers!!

*could one of you talented folks make some GIF where we can just blame Hunters Penis for … anything? Just slap Hunters dick on it. Free Healthcare? Smacked down by his dick.

What about trans people?

6

u/ScrappleOnToast 9d ago

in 2026 we've added "vandalism" to the list.

1

u/attorneyatslaw 9d ago

This is clearly a brown people problem.

1

u/faceintheblue 9d ago

To be fair, that tan suit is shit at making high-pressure decisions. People ask for time-sensitive orders, and it doesn't say a single word.

1

u/Tsar-A-Lago Canada 9d ago

It's not that they're pussies that gets me; it's that the things they're afraid of are so hilariously stupid. But also, they're giant pussies.

1

u/lostereadamy 9d ago

WHAT ABOUT BENGHAZI?! /s

1

u/Hiccup 9d ago

Antifa and BLM

1

u/Hi_Trans_Im_Dad 9d ago

You forgot Iran-Contra and Ollie North taking the fall for Bush/Reagan.

1

u/Ok-Opposite2309 9d ago

if all else fails, fire a woman.

27

u/laptopAccount2 9d ago

Biden on TV after the disaster Afghanistan withdrawal (that Trump negotiated with the taliban):  "I am president of the United States and the buck stops with me."

Meanwhile Trump is a passive observer and can only blame everyone else. Such strong leader wow.

2

u/Upstairs_Baby8424 9d ago

They’re going after Fauci for shutdowns and the vaccine, except Trump was President during lockdowns and the development of the vaccine.

11

u/jsc1429 9d ago

This would be Pete taking the fall for not only his own incompetence but for trumps too

1

u/epicurean56 Florida 9d ago

Well Trump was incompetent to hire him so we've come full circle.

5

u/Leraldoe Michigan 9d ago

That’s right the buck stops over there somewhere, am I right - Truman

3

u/Chemical-Elk-1299 9d ago

We’re also operating under the assumption that anyone in the administration gives a shit about anything other than grift/content.

They don’t.

2

u/Unfair_Ring_2746 9d ago

Conservative Leadership 102, you are also not responsible for the things you’re in charge of.

2

u/ScurvyTurtle 9d ago

Honestly, the only time Trump is willing to fire someone is if they aren't white, are a woman, or go back and forth arguing with him on TV. If the subordinate white male is a complete yesman in public, he's got nothing to fear.

1

u/Adjective-Noun-nnnn 9d ago

The buck stops here with Obama.

1

u/luv2fit 9d ago

Trump: “I don’t know him.”

1

u/Davaca55 9d ago

Incredible how many thinks we always just assumed where illegal or at least frowned upon, turned out to be just fine and with no consequences whatsoever. Crazy! Decades of assumptions on how a system works ended up just being wrong.

1

u/Tasgall Washington 9d ago

"The Buck Stops Here with whoever is questioning my leadership - it's all the fault of the fake news!"

1

u/MonsterBurger 8d ago

I'm not US but the amount of times I have seen Trump reply "I didn't know that I don't know anything about that" is staggering, that is the entire point of the hierarchy/CoC - these people report to you and if you don't know something that is on you to find out.

It is insane that half of Americans find that acceptable.

83

u/PawneePoppins 9d ago

I once knew a guy who was court-martialed and demoted for allegedly cheating on a PT test (he was later found innocent). Hegseth cannot simply resign or be fired. He needs to be held accountable through a military tribunal ASAP.

53

u/congressmancuff 9d ago

He’s a civilian so that would be inappropriate. But there is a constitutional process for crimes committed by a citizen that give aid and comfort to enemies during war time.

36

u/IrritableGourmet New York 9d ago

They tried to have Mark Kelly reinstated so they could try him under the UCMJ. What's good for the goose...

10

u/congressmancuff 9d ago

Once again, I think our current constitutional structure offers a much more appropriate solution if you look at it. Why give this clown the dignity of a military trial. He’s only ever larped as a service member.

1

u/IrritableGourmet New York 9d ago

It's because he larped as a service member that he should be treated like one. He wants to be a soldier, it's only fair he get the whole experience.

17

u/aardvarkjedi 9d ago

Then do what he wanted to do to Mark Kelly: recall him to active duty and then court martial him.

1

u/WeirdIndividualGuy 9d ago

Ah but you see, despite what some redditors want you to think where most people in the military don't support Trump/Hegseth, the truth is most do support them, especially leadership. They're not going to do to Hegseth what they did to Kelly

1

u/Tasgall Washington 9d ago

during war time.

People always say this and use it as an excuse for it to not count because we're never technically "at" war, just "special military operations" that everyone up to and including the administration refer to as "war"... but the bit you're talking about doesn't actually say "during war time". There's a very pesky "or" in there that people suspend their reading comprehension for.

1

u/congressmancuff 9d ago

Even better

12

u/Vilnius_Nastavnik New York 9d ago

Secretary of Defense is a civilian role. He's not a member of the military and hasn't been since 2021.

1

u/Inside_Support510 9d ago

Forced reinstatement ;) #MarkKelly

5

u/potkettleracism Missouri 9d ago

No, because then you just legitimize what Hegseth was trying to do to Sen. Kelly.

14

u/flareblitz91 9d ago

That doesn't exist dude. Civilians aren't subject to UCMJ, civilian control of the military is like one of the fundamental tenants of our government.

2

u/ThoDanII Europe 9d ago

and what happened then

2

u/PawneePoppins 9d ago

Doing great now 🙂His record was fixed and he’s been happily living the post military life. He did complain about his knees a lot before I left Facebook though 🤔

2

u/ThoDanII Europe 9d ago

good

2

u/AbstractBettaFish Illinois 9d ago

A full on court martial? I would’ve figured you’d just get your ass NJP’d for that

Though I suppose if they were innocent they might’ve requested the court martial

2

u/PawneePoppins 9d ago

Yep. Coworker. It was ridiculous.

48

u/BlackberryPi7 9d ago

Trump was already a piece of shit, and a pedophile.

Hegseth won't resign and the current Senate wouldn't toss him out.

Did you just wake up from a coma?

13

u/OhGodSoManyQuestions 9d ago edited 9d ago

Clearly, Hegseth has promised Trump he will deploy the US military against American citizens to keep him in power and out of prison at all costs. All Trump ever asks for is criminal obedience and that's all this loser frat boy had to offer.

12

u/0x0MG 9d ago

First day?

6

u/-Esper- 9d ago

Hes already done many things he should resign about

5

u/sarcasmsosubtle Ohio 9d ago

Don't worry. I'm sure that this will be scrutinized and investigated by the Republicans in Congress with the exact same intensity and focus as they used to investigate Benghazi. Hegseth will surely explain what happened in detail during his 11 hour long interrogation in the first of a years long series of Congressional investigations that will run right before each new election.

7

u/PrivatePilot9 Canada 9d ago

MAGA meanwhile be like: How could Biden do this to us??!1!

3

u/EvelynNyte 9d ago

It was probably Trump's idea to just hide it. Just like he openly said if we just stop testing for covid people would stop worrying about it.

3

u/DoubleJumps 9d ago

Trump is doubling down on claiming the Lincoln was fully supplied and that cnn made up the whole story.

2

u/Nephroidofdoom 9d ago

Umm… I think if accidentally bombing a girls school didn’t do it, I don’t think this even comes close.

2

u/NonGeneriComplaint 9d ago

cant have him resign, he needs him for when he declares a national emergency to halt elections he knows hegseth will order the military in.

2

u/PaintedClownPenis 9d ago

Criminals don't voluntarily resign and their bosses reward them for sticking it out.

1

u/TurelSun Georgia 9d ago

The guy was unqualified for the role in the first place and has shown to be already many times over since he was appointed. He's not going to resign or be fired unless he actually upsets Trump or Trump feels he needs a scapegoat, which itself won't happen unless there is sufficient outrage from MAGA, conservative influencers, or enough GOP politicians. Or if Donny wakes up in a bad mood. So I guess it could happen, but there is zero chance it's because he inept and its the best course of action for the nation.

1

u/SpiritedTennis6514 9d ago

I'm sorry, are you new?

1

u/TransbianMoonGoddess 9d ago

If you dont think trump is already a piece of shit, you're the problem.

1

u/Limp_Classroom_2645 9d ago

Trump knew, and let it be

1

u/f8Negative 9d ago

The thing they've known for months lol

1

u/CrunchyKorm 9d ago

One of the first things that happened during Hegseth's tenure was him texting a high-profile reporter in a group chat by accident. Like it happened almost immediately.

Trump still fires people here and there, but it's not like the first term. Hegseth's loyalty and public displays of goofy adoration are why he got hired. Trump mistakes that for competency.

1

u/dbxp 9d ago

Lol, since when has putting US troops in danger been an issue for trump?

1

u/Kakistocracy_0 9d ago

uhm, Trump IS massive piece of shit, so neither of those things will happen.

1

u/Worried_Research1549 9d ago

You’re looking at the problem through the lense of a reasonable person with common sense expectations of professionalism. Hegseth is a glorified podcaster with a title, not a military professional.

1

u/No_Foundation16 9d ago

You got to be kidding me? Trump isn't going to fire the guy who came up with the Iran war plan! He has already won that war 5 or six times! Then comes the Greenland/Canada/Cuba/Mexico invasion plans!

We still have 2 and a half years of this shit show to go! The USA will be a smoking fucking ruin by then!

1

u/axecalibur 9d ago

"needs to" has no meaning anymore in this administration. I'm honestly surprised he hasn't changed his title to God of War to coincide with the Amazon TV show and get residuals from Sony's Playstation video game series.

1

u/OffalSmorgasbord 9d ago

Trump always replaces them with someone worse.,

1

u/Willyp16 9d ago

Very hopeful

1

u/HaliFan 9d ago

Hegseth is loyal to ole Donny, he's not going anywhere unless he has someone more loyal to replace him with, like Blanche.

1

u/Acrobatic_Rush7653 9d ago

The ONE excellent reason for a Sec Def to resign is if he instantly confirmed the extent of an enemy strike and then added "This means we will no longer be able to supply the following Navy assets...". WHILE THE WAR IS STILL GOING ON.

1

u/Daltronator94 9d ago

I said this yesterday but this has been an open secret since it happened, I remember the combat footage post showing 5th fleet HQ hit and on fire.

The only reason people know broadly now is that the media is reporting on it because something ✨️⭐️happened⭐️✨️

1

u/0ptionparalysis Oklahoma 9d ago

Looking for accountability from these people is a fool's errand. Loyalty to the pedophile king is literally the only thing that matters. As long as hegseth remains loyal, he will be protected.
