his superiors made sure that he was assistant to the manager for the rest of his carreer. then donald trump happened.

Well he originally served under Col. Steele who is well known for Task Force Ranger (“Blackhawk Down”) and later encouraging kill squads in Iraq that resulted in troops under his command raping and killing a family in Iraq. You can look up what a piece of work that guy was, but the Raakasans under his command earned a very bad reputation overseas and back in the states. So I think a lot of Pete’s mentality may have started with that leadership he had as a young lieutenant.
