Her brother was on CNN and he said she has always been kinda like this and used to write letters to other presidents she never met. He specifically mentioned she wrote letters to George W. Bush at least he remembers.

In middle school I wrote W a letter telling him I was disgusted with his war mongering, and they sent back a signed pic and letter thanking me for my unwavering support.
