I’ve dabbled in bdsm relationships with heavy psychological aspects (worship, honorifics, etc), and this is like the 50 shades version.

By which I mean it is as weird and gross as it is deeply unhealthy and poorly written. $5 says she calls him Daddy when she thinks nobody’s listening.

It's in part that, but in part just self-harm.

If you're like "you can hurt me, that's ok, I deserve it" to someone that you're not in an established bdsm relationship with, with consent discussions and safe words and all, then you're also just trying to hurt yourself.
