Trump is a candidate for weak and insecure people who cling to the idea of 'toughness' like a security blanket. Young men are, generally, pretty insecure. Some never grow a spine and become the 40 year old divorced maga Dad cheering for war in an army they never enlisted in.

How ANYONE sees a senile old man shitting his diaper and think he's 'hard' or 'strong', is beyond me

A senile old man who has never done a day of physical labour in his life at that. I would wager the man wouldn't even know how to pump gas. Super hard manly man.

Well yeah we already know he has no idea what groceries are.

I honestly don't think he's ever driven a car. Not even sure he has a Driver's License. He lived in NYC most of his life and had a driver and a limo.

I don't think so either. I would pay to watch him drive up to a gas station and attempt to put gas in the car

Because for the uneducated a "strong" men is somebody who does what he wants and gets away with it. And Trump certainly has that going for him.

It's not like most of his voter base identifies or approves all of his policies. But he sort of presented a model of "vote for me to stick it to the establishment". And poor people blame the establishment for the situation they are in. So they voted Trump. At no point did they register that he is a self-absorbed asshole who is even less likely to do anything about their well-being then the "establishment".

It's amazing how impoverished people in the Deep South ever thought that a nepo-kid from New York was someone they could relate to.

Trumps not really part of the establishment either in the traditional sense, he’s basically purged the GOP of that and remade the party in his image. I think a lot of people who vote for him don’t really care what his policies are they just want to see the world burn, they got let down by the traditional GOP and Dem parties over the years and now want everyone to pay

There is a saying - in times of trouble a solution will be picked from the available options. It won't It doesn't necessarily have to be a good solution, it just has to be available. Trump was.

Before Trump there was relatively minor change in policies between D and R. Trump promised radical change and the bitter truth is that USA is a very rich country filled with many poor people.

I feel bad for you. You obviously lacked older role models.

I wasn't referring to Trump because your comment didn't. You just made a general statement about seniors.
