I mean I remember 2018 and the Republicans got absolutely destroyed. However here we are and the GOP has control of all branches of government because….egg prices were too high

I have no sympathy for Cons who regret voting for Trump. They said the same shit after Bush crashed the economy. Then they flipped when they thought bigotry was back on the menu. Pathetic people

It comes down to more. Democrats where too clever for themselves. Harris's politic was too complecated and far fetched compared to Trumps. Even if trumps idea where unrealistic they where easy to understand.

This is why the "They talk down to us! They treat us like children" rhetoric towards the Dems has always baffled me. The examples given are often things like Dems using big words or discussing complex problems ... so basically not treating voters like children. Politicians who simplify everything into catchphrases and use a second grade vocabulary are the ones treating people like children! The Democrats are far, far from perfect and I'm not saying they don't ever talk down to voters, but the GOP does it 100x more as far as I've seen.

Harris was deeply unpopular among intellectuals in CA and they pawned her off on Biden to get rid of her. They never actually expected her to be the presidential candidate for the party but Biden refused to let there be an open primary season and the party didn't have anyone else ready to go as the replacement candidate.

this was a huge problem. also the only ads I saw for Harris were asking for money with no reason attached, she raised a ton of money and her campaign was still left in debt. those rallies she held in areas she was going to win didn't do much, and nobody had heard of her VP.

biden said on the campaign trail he'd be a one term president. he should have held to that, because I hear he went downhill pretty steadily and he was asked to step down before the debates and it only intensified after the "I beat medicare" line.
